Hare Krishna,

‘Sri Krishna’ is God’s Most Attractive Incarnation

When the minds of people are clouded with material aspects o, they forget themselves and the ever increasing ambitions lead to evil deeds. To avoid such a deterioration ,the Supreme God descends in human form to guide the the humanity.

God’s incarnation as Sri Krishna signifies the dispelling of darkness, the removal of troubles, banishing ignorance and teaching mankind supreme wisdom.

Sri Krishna is the symbol of idealism. He took the lead and functioned as a ‘role model’ in all spheres of activity. His devotees concentrate on Krishna’s Divine aspects.

To understand the character of Krishna we have to go back to the scripture Mahabharatham. Humility and Obedience were the hallmarks of Krishna. Some may doubt about this aspects of Krishna. Fictitious movies and texts have incorrectly portrayed Krishna as a mere fighter and manipulator who had forced several kings to run away from their thrones. But the great scripture Mahabharatha, reveals the humility ,obedience and other great qualities that were present in abundant measures in Krishna.

God has taken several incarnations to redeem humanity, but the most attractive one is that of Sri Krishna. The very word Krishna means 'one who attracts'- Krishyathi iti Krishnah' . Lord Krishna cultivates the hearts of devotees by removing the weeds of ignorance and sowing the seeds of good qualities. Krishna raises in them the crop of Supreme Bliss.

The letters Ka, Ra, Sha, Na have been interpreted as signifying the glorious attributes of Krishna.

Ka- represents Kamalakantha (the Lord of Goddess Lakshmy ) . Other meaning is Kamaleshwara or the Lord of the Lotus-the inner meaning is that when divinity is manifested within us, the heart blooms like a lotus before the Sun .'Ka' thus symbolises the Sun principle also.

Ra--represents the principle of delight.

Sha-- represents Vishnu ,the source of all wealth and progeny.

Na--symbolises Narasimha Avatara.

Wherever Krishna was, He was always in a state of Bliss. The Gita is a song because Krishna was the embodiment of joy, He could sing even on the battle field of the Great Kurukshetra war without any problem. Sri Krishna was omniscent and omnipotent and could perform whatever He wanted.

Krishyathi iti Krishna-- one who cultivates is Krshna.

Karshathi iti Krishna-- one who attracts is Krishna.

Kurshyathi iti Krishna- one who is always Blissful is Krishna.

The above are the forms of Sat, Chit, Ananda and these are present in all yugas. Queen Kunti addresses Krishna as ‘Madhava’. 'Ma' means Lakshmy and it also means Maya (illusions). The word Dhava means Master. In this sense Krishna is the Master of Nature, Lakshmy and Maya.

Everything in this world is controlled by the laws of nature. The elements contributing earth and the vast ocean are controlled by certain laws and regulations. Since man's life is part of the world it has to be regulated. Whether it is for love, hatred or anger some regulation is necessary. Such regulation has been beautifully portrayed by Krishna in His life time. Human beings commits the gravest mistake by themselves by forgetting the inherent Divinity that is present in

all and identifying themselves with their bodies. Sri Krishna appeared in human form to correct this error so as to make the human beings to transcend their body consciousness and make them realise their divinity.

A devotee says “ Is it possible Oh Krishna to recognize your majesty ? You are subtler than an atom and vaster than the vastest thing in creation. You permeate every nook and corner of the Cosmos, you are present in the good and in the wicked and make them play their respective roles. How can any one understand your Divine mystery?”.

Every word of Krishna was replete with spiritual significance. He acted according to circumstances and donned different roles from a child of mischief to become the finest Teacher . Krishna always protected His devotees in the times of difficulties, according to the situations in which they were placed . He mercilessly destroyed the evil doers according to the seriousness of their misdeeds. He never showed mercy to the wrong doers and His ‘Will’ was the ‘Law’ . No wonder He is renowned as the ‘Poorna Avatar’ . Krishna’s devotees adore Him and they surrender themselves at His Lotus Feet. The merciful Lord responds to them by liberating from their mental and physical diseases besides blessing with longevity, health, and everlasting happiness.

Om Sri Krishnaya Namah!!!

Krishna’s humble servant
