Guest guest
Hare Krishna, Connecting Everything with Krishna Lord Krishna’s devotees can see that everything is connected with the Lord. And at the same time they can see that the non-devotees do not experience that sublime connection with Krishna because they are in a state of illusion. Instead of relishing the highest bliss of Krishna-bhakti at every second, the non-devotees are struggling to squeeze some happiness out of a place where tangible happiness does not exist, just like someone trying to squeeze blood out of a rock. If they would just chant ‘Hare Krishna Mantra’ with love and devotion they would taste the sweetest nectar at every second . Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare Sankarshan Das Adhikari ------------------- Sixteen Rounds of Japa in Two Hours Dear Guruji, The speed of Mahamantra japa has been misunderstood by many people. Is doing 16 rounds more important or doing japa for 2 hours more important? Since completing 16 rounds in 2 hrs requires a very fast pace, and looks we are hurrying up to finish something. How is that 16 rounds = repeating the mantra 25000 times or 64 rounds = 100000 times. It appears 108*16= 1728 times. please explain... Your humble servant, Ankush Chant With Concentration My Dear Ankush, Please accept my blessings. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. The most important thing is to complete at least 16 rounds of japa daily. This is the necessary amount of chanting required to keep our noses above the water of this material ocean of birth and death. Generally with a little practice this 16 rounds can be completed in 1.5 to 2 hours daily. Srila Prabhupada always mentioned 2 hours because this is practical amount of time for completing our daily quota of 16 rounds. It is not a question of hurrying to get the rounds done. It is matter of being focused and chanting will full attention. If your mental focus is there you will not at all feel that you are rushing. You will feel that you are blissfully, peacefully diving into an ocean of the sweetest nectar. We chant the Hare Krishna Mantra at least 16 x 108 times daily. This comes out to 1,728 Maha Mantras every day. Hoping this meets you in good health and in a cheerful mood, Your eternal well-wisher, Sankarshan Das Adhikari
