When it comes to being tested by Lord Krishna, the Supreme Lord is very strict indeed. There is no place for Lust,Anger or Greed if one wants to be Krishna Conscious.

These three sinful qualities must be eliminated first of all. Only by chanting Harinaam and by the causeless mercy of a devotee of Lord Krishna can these negative qualities be eliminated.

The other processes prescribed by so many other types of spiritualists are not effective enough in these days of Kaliyuga, though they may have been effective in Satayuga, Tretayuga and Dvaparayuga. Meditation is a technique of the Satayuga times, and not possible to effectively completed in today's circumstances. Such outdated practices have to be abandoned, and as Instructed by the Lord himself, the chanting of Harinaam must be taken up seriously.

Taking to the path of devotional service under the guidance of an established spiritual master in the disciplic succession will ensure steady progress and eventually one attains the eternal position as an Eternal Servant of the Servant of the Servant of Lord Krishna. A devotee doesnt aspire for anything more than this. A true devotee has no desire for power, worldly positions, wealth and pleasure giving lifestyles.
