We have to deal with Chrisitianity by presenting truth about Christianity instead of resorting to tactical appeasement. We should educate the people who fund Christianity and youth who follow.

 

1) Jesus is not a historical reality. There has a lot of research work that has proved how the church concocted the myth of Jesus.

2) We should expose the internal inconsistencies of the bible.

3) We should show how Christianity and Islam have exploited and harrassed non-beleivers based on their scriptures.

4) We should popularize the fallacies of Bible and Quran.

5) We should show how the good points in these scriptures can be traced back to earlier pagan literatures which in turn can be traced back to vedic literatures. In fact, most of the good points are contradictory to semitic faiths.

6) We should expose their support of slavery and oppression of women.

7) We should show how they dont follow their own faith. Thou Shall Not Kill.

 

It is difficult for the ISKCON members to do it because most of them are glorifying Jesus. Srila Prabhupada's greatness is his devotion to Lord Krishna, the essence of vedic and bhagavatha paths.

 

If ISKCON cannot do it, then the followers of Krishna should. Great sages of this aacred nation are ruthless in destroying irreligion throguh dissemination of knoweldge.

I pray that this meets you well and in the service/mercy of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga. Yes, one should always present truth, but you have to remember what is our truth and what a Christian finds as truth are vastly different. It is easy to educate an individual who is a convert, but not one that is born into a religion and indoctrinated in that faith. They

believe without doubt, just as we do, that their religious belief is correct and ours is wrong. The only way to convence those who are seeking outside for answers is by example, not by strong armed tactics. We are not them, we follow the rules of ahimsa. 1) Jesus is not a historical reality. But the issue is, disproving another's religion is only to invite strife. There may be research, but who did this research? If the research was done by a Christian who believes in Christ, that is one thing, if it is done by an atheist, that is

I agree, but are you willing to learn their Bible to the extent that you can prove these inconsistancies, or are you more willing to learn our scripture to attain moksha? Personally, I don't have enough lifetime left to concern myself with returning to the Bible to prove a point. Sri Krsna Himself stated all I need to know on this subject in BG 18.66. "Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear." 3) We should show how Christianity and Islam have exploited and harrassed non-beleivers based on their

scriptures. Yes, this is a great tool, as long as its done without offense. If you use the argument of aggression of the Christian and Muslims in the improper manner, then you will set them to defence of their faith, and have made the situation worse. If you do it in love, and to bring to their attention the tactics used to convert the common people to their faiths, then they will see the error of this method their religious leaders have used throughout the centuries. 4) We should popularize the fallacies of Bible and Quran. This is a bouble edged sword. If you use the Bible or the Quran to

prove its inconsistancies, then they will do the same with the Vedas. Remember, we are fighting our own battles in this arena. There are to many of our own people saying that the Ramayana and Mahabharata are mythological stories and cannot be proven. Don't get into this mentality. Remember, they are judging us by THEIR scriptures, not ours, so we have to prove to them that our ways are better than theirs, and that our texts are more complete. 5) We should show how the good points in these scriptures can be traced back to earlier pagan literatures which in turn can be traced back to vedic literatures. no matter where you find it. You are setting yourself up for a pointless argument. Judeo/Christians hold that they have the "original" faith, and that all others are a bastardization that came forth after the flood of Noah. You have to prove your stance, especially to those that are experienced in argument and defending their faith. 6) We should expose their support of slavery and oppression of women. True, but if its written in the scriptures then you have a poor argument. Also, for those that know what their talking about will only use the Varna system against you, even though it is sanctioned by the Lord Himself. They will see the Dalit and Sudra population as nothing more than slaves to

Once again you are dealing with people that have been taught that "Thou shalt not kill" is different than "Thou shalt not murder". To the Christian and Muslim "Thou shalt not kill", means "Thou shalt not murder". In the Semetic religions, animals do not have a soul, only humans have a soul, so you, in essence, cannot murder an animal, only a human. You will not convince a Christian differently of this unless the Lord has already prepared the ground, and for that to happen they have already questioned their faith and what they have been taught by what the scriptures teach. There are many great devotees who are members of ISKCON that go out and preach daily in very hostile cultures. Swami Indradyumna fights constantly with the Catholic Church in Poland, and sometimes at great risk. He is making great strides for Guru and Gauranga in his preaching efforts and making disciples in the eastern block countries. Several are preaching in the Islam countries, and there is even a temple in Iran and the Arab Emmorants. So to say that ISKCON is not being effective in their preaching efforts against Christianity and Islam shows

one to be poorly misinformed. If ISKCON cannot do it, then the followers of Krishna should. Great sages of this aacred nation are ruthless in destroying irreligion through dissemination of knoweldge. Again it does not matter who is preaching, ISKCON or another Vaisnava Matha, what matters is in how their preaching. If you stand on a street corner and preach against the established faith of that community, why complain when you are hit with stones. Srila Prabhupada preached in America, which is starchly Christian, yet he not only prospered, but actually build several very large temples that benefited all of society here. It is not in what you say, it is in how you say it that matters. If you teach

(not preach) in love, then many will come and listen, out of that, some will join you for a time, out of that few will actually believe, out of that fewer will fully surrender. But the common thread in attaining the change in only a few is love, without it all hostility breaks out. One that has acquired humility sees everything with equal vision, and are not disturbed. If we are hostile in our approach, that gives the Christians and Muslims that much more reason to retaliate and continue to use the sword.
