When you chant His name with faith, the Lord becomes active . The Lord uses His devotee as an instrument to carry out His works. A true devotee of Lord Krishna is absolutely at ease in worshiping the Lord situated in his heart ( Paramatma), Or the Lord in His above Vaikuntam or the Lord in deity form such as in Thirumala. Krishna's devotees have highest respect for Thirumala temple because the deity of Venkateswara breathes life . The strict adherence to scriptures for the performance of rituals since ages have made the deity of Venkateswara a living God. ISKCON was established to spread Krishna consciousness in the western world which according to scriptures is the land of meat eaters (Mlechas). Srila Prabhupada aimed for a gradual transition of these 'Mlechas' into Vaishnavas and His teachings resemble this fact. During His period, He had to encounter numerous fake God-men who were trying to exploit potential devotees. So Prabhupada came down hard on them and asked the devotees to believe only bonafide Spiritual Masters belonging to the 'Parampara' system . This approach was required to prevent the contamination of devotees by fake-Gurus. However, please note that, Srila Prabhupada did not consider the Indian environments such as the scripturally correct deity-worship in Thirumala while rejecting the non-paramapara sources. In fact, Chaithanya Mahaprabhu stayed for a substantial period in Puri jagannatha temple . If you worship Lord Venkateswara , you are worshiping Lord Krishna situated as 'Paramatma' in your heart . All different worships of Lord Krishna ( Hare Krishna japa, Deity-worship, serving of His devotees to spread Krishna -consciousness, etc) reaches Lord Krishna's lotus feet . Lord Krishna is the only worshipable deity and not any human being . A pure devotee's duty is to help us in worshiping the lotus feet of Lord Krishna and not to make himself the object of worship. Vaishnavas in India , especially Sri-Vaishnavites appreciate the service of ISKCON to spread Krishna consciousness in the non-vedic Western countries . However , they don't consider the 'non-Agamas specification ' temples of ISKCON equivalent to purely Agamas-based temples like Thirumala. Sri-Vaishnavites also disagree with the occasional failures to ensure spiritual discipline within ,as well as prejudiced rejection of all non-ISKCON devotional services . I suggest you to meditate on the Lotus feet of Sri Krishna and chant Hare Krishna Mahamantra , with utmost faith. Do everything as an offering to Krishna and leave all results to Him. Accept everything as Krishna's grace . If you gain, it is due to Krishna' s mercy . If you lose something, it is also Krishna's move to save you with minor penalties for your past-karma. Because of Krishna's mercy, you will gain immense wealth. Please, use part of that money to spread Krishna consciouness (Krishna will give you opportunities) to act on merit.
