Dear Friends in Krishna:

 

While I certainly agree with the sentiments expressed

in this e-mail, let us give credit where it is due.

The " I can do all things... " statement is an

appropriation from the Apostle Paul in the New

Testament:

 

" I can do all things through Christ which

strengtheneth me. " (Philippians 4:13, KJV)

 

While so much of what we believe is actually taught in

the New Testament, we must not upset our Christian

friends and neighbors by something that can be

construed as dishonesty. Sri Krishna certainly has

given us so much that we need not steal the 'property'

of others. Perhaps it would be better to teach from

the Gita, the Purana, and the other marvelous texts we

have and then show how these teachings are reflected

in the scriptures of other traditions.
