Guest guest
Today I was in a Mangal-Arati and Kirtan session with the wonderful devotees of Damodardesh, and I was thinking of what to say to assembled Devotees. Many ideas came, I considered this or that, and eventually I decided there is nothing to say when the Holy Name of Krishna is being chanted, what more to say! So I chanted as many Malas as I could, in the presence of devotees. All material topics come to an end once we start chanting Harinaam. In fact that must happen otherwise the chanting is not being done sincerely. Our mind must be trained again and again to stop thinking of worldly matters and focus itself on Lord Krishna, because there is no topic worthy of discussion except the topic of Bhakti, of Krishna Consciousness, of Devotional Service. After chanting, if we are ready to serve Krishna ( by performing selfless devotional service) it will please Krishna more, because actions speak louder than words. One must enthusiastically engage in Devotional Service, otherwise one has a tendency to fall back into material life.Such is the nature of Maya, as it entraps us with its play of the three Gunas which are very hard to defeat. Only by sincere chanting and effective devotional service, we can advance in spiritual life. Everyone you meet is carry Krishna in their hearts, yet we forget this the moment we leave home. May Lord Krishna give us all good memory to remember Him always and be humble always.
