Tulasi should not be collected on the following days/time.You may

collect on the previous day morning and safely keep in a cool place

covered with leaf or madi vastram.

Do not pluck Tulasi leaves as per the rules below-

On Afternoons of any day

On Sundays,Tuesdays and Fridays

On Dwadhashi (day after Ekadasi)

On Amavasya, poornami and first day of lunar/solar calender month

On Shashtii

As for women during their monthly cycle, we have to understand that

there are no scriptural injunctions yet found anywhere in any

scriptures. If someone finds these injunctions please enlighten us.

Make sure you have authentic quotes from the scriptures.

The general rule followed by Hindu women is as follows- from the

onset of the cycle, 4 days are considered as days of prohibition from

any participation in religious acts.

As for the Mantras to be recited while plucking, it has already been

posted earlier.

Hereafter this topic of plucking Tulsi Leaves is closed, as we have

had too much debate on this issue already. If anyone sends

information which is authentic and quoted from the scriptures

regarding the rules pertaining to women, it will be welcome.
