Guest guest
All said and done, one who chooses an Ishta-deivatam and worships him, keeps only that Ishta-deivatam in mind while performing the worship. His mind is focussed on that form of the Lord that has appealed to him. Actually, that is the right thing to do, although theoretically, everyone, including that Upasaka knows, in his heart of hearts, that all Gods are manifestations of the same Supreme Person. "SARVADEVA-NAMASKARAH KESAVAM PRATIGACCHATI." In spite of that, we do Namaskaram to all gods. Love K.V. Gopalakrishna. kdevanathan31 wrote: Om Namo Narayanaya! The manifestation of Bhagavan Vishnu as Narasimha was not not only to protect Prahlada and eliminate evil ones; but most imporantantly to keep true the words of Prahlada who said Vishnu is omnipresent,is everywhere. Azhwar says, "Yengumulan Kannan". He does not differentiate between Narasimha and Kannan. Therefore all the ten incarnations (Dasavatharam) are manifestations of Lord Vishnu, ie., Sriman Narayana. As Ishtadevatha one can choose Narasimha, Rama or Krishna, but the prayers are addressed to Vishnu only(Sarvam vishnu mayam Jagat)ie, Sriman Narayana. - K.Devanathan.
