Guest guest
Hare Krishna ! Dandavat Pranams to Bhagavan Sri Krishna and all Vaishnavas, One becomes a devotee of Sri Krishna under one of the following three circumstances : When "Meritorious- Karma" of the past, prompts the dormant Krishna-Bhakti . When another Krishna-Bhakta succeeds in invoking the dormant Krishna-Bhakti . When Sri Krishna Himself wants him to engage in Krishna-Bhakti . Bhagavan Krishna's ways and means are beyond human intelligence . But, one thing is definite . Sri Krishna is deeply attached to His sincere devotee and often mercifully compromises to fulfill his wishes . It is due to this reason that some Krishna-Bhaktas could serve as instruments to remove the "karmic-effects" of Sinners and elevate them to Krishna-Bhakti . Sri Krishna is the Supreme God and not limited to Hinduism . He is accessible to everyone including those of other religions . The non-entry of non-Hindus in Vedic temples is only a preventive measure to avoid de-consecration of VEDIC rituals required to maintain the "Aura" of the Deity . But , when a non-Hindu devotee sincerely seeks Krishna , Bhagavan comes out of the temple to grace him . This is a reality experienced by numerous non-Hindu devotees . The yearly "Arattu" festival of Evoor Sri Krishnaswamy is the prime event in my Village . Krishna's Deity mounted on an elephant , proceeds to take a "ritual bath" in a tank 4 KM away . I used to accompany this mid-night procession . The entire local population including Muslims and Christians stay awake to see and pay their obeisances to Bhagavan . Even those who had moved away to settle in other places return to Evoor village on this night to take part in this event . No one has asked them to do so . It is only due to personal faith in Sri Krishna . Many of these non-Hindus don't chant but bow down their heads and pray silently . And Bhagavan accepts it graciously . The divine bliss experienced by them confirms it . Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya!!! SriKrishnaDasa Rajeev.
