Hare Krishna ! Dandavat Pranams to Bhagavan Sri Krishna and all Vaishnavas , ‘Nama-Japa’ , is the easiest process to attain Bhagavan Krishna . Mental purity and Krishna-realization will come through constant chanting of the divine name. Krishna’s name is the oar of the boat to cross the “samsara-ocean” of our restless mind, with its unending thought waves. ‘Nama-Japa’ can also be compared to a ladder that we climb to reach Bhagavan . In the beginning ‘Nama-Japa’ , could be done in a low voice. Then it can be done moving the lips slightly. Later, it can be done mentally. Thus ‘Nama-Japa’ should be practised constantly with each breath. Then ‘japa’ will go on even if we don't attend to it, even in sleep. We may use any of Krishna’s names like Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare, ', 'Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya', 'Om Namo Narayanaya', ''Hari Om', etc . First of all, we must have love and respect for Bhagavan’s names which are non-different from Him . Always chant His names wherever we are, whatever work we are doing irrespective of time and place. Without talking unnecessarily, chant Krishna’s names which will help us to purify the mind and are vehicles to take us to Bhagavan. Don't be disheartened if we don't see immediate result . Each chant of the divine name has an effect . We are just not aware of it . Even if we are not achieving one-pointed concentration, we will still benefit by chanting regularly . Through constant ‘Nama-japa, the impurities in our mind will disappear, without us even being aware of it, and we will get connected to Sri Krishna . ‘Nama-Japa’ should be like savouring a sweet . In the end, we will reach a state where even if we let go of the divine name, it won't let go of us . Krishna’s names should be chanted with

great attention. Focus either on the sound of the Name or on the meaning ; or we can visualise each syllable of the Name as we chant. We can also visualise the beautiful form of Sri Krishna while chanting. Even If we chant Bhagavan’s names without knowing its meaning, it has its own power. However, it is more effective if it is chanted with ‘shraddha’ (loving faith) and love. Once we get into a bus or train, it will take us to the destination even if we don't know who the driver is or which company manufactured the bus or train or from where the spare parts are available. It will drop us at the nearest bus or railway station, and from there it will be only a short distance to our home. Similarly, His divine names will carry us to Bhagavan Sri Krishna .
