Radhe Krishna!

The process of finding the right Guru starts from oneself In order to

find a true Guru, one must have the following traits to start with:

1) Mumukshutwam, the ardent desire to attain salvation

2) Jijnasa, the desire to acquire spiritual knowledge.

3) Purity of mind, attained by self-less service, to the Lord and good

people.(Sat-janas)

4) Spirit of renunciation

5) Bhakti, ardent devotion to the Lord, which is born out of pure love

to Him.

If one has all these, the right Guru will come in search of the

disciple. One must understand that the Guru is not a magician to

perform a miracle and convert one into a Yogi or bestow salvation.

His duty is that of a catalyst and kindle the spiritual knowledge which

is already lying dormant in one's mind, by the interaction of the Guru

and sishya.. He is not going to generate any new knowledge. Hence

if one happens to encounter different gurus, one should choose the Guru

who appears to be well-versed in spritual knowledge and is capable of

imparting the true nature of God. A Guru who is ambitious and asking

for money etc., is an imposter and should not be allowed even to come

near.

If one finds that a Guru is not acting truthfully in thought, word and

deed, he is quite justified in changing the Guru also.

There are only two who have been referred to as Jagat-gurus, one, Lord

Krishna Himself, and the second, Adi Sankara.

Firstly if you see many people following a "Guru" it does not mean

much

except that many of these people are expecting some revelations from

the man they are following. How is it that you can tell a person is in

touch with Krishna Consciousness or not? Here are some symptoms:-

1.You will feel peace and satisfaction.

2.You will not be expected to open your wallet and deposit some cash.

3.You will not be chastised or reprimanded at the onset of meeting him.

4.You will even see humility and a smile if he is really enlightened.

5.Choosing a Guru is your right, and the Lord helps you choose the best.

6.The will of the Lord will guide you to him.

7.All your doubts wil disappear when you find him.

8.whatever questions remain in your mind will be answered soon enough.

9.You will be given a fresh direction in your search for the truth.

10.You may or may not find him surrounded by many followers.

In my personal experience, I met a saint who has a total of just 16

disciples, and he has stopped taking more disciples. The orders for him

are to keep just 16 well trained disciples under him, and train them

well.If I go to see him, he is usually alone, and always in the highest

state of Krishna Consciousness.Exalted saints do not have the

desire to

live on materially though the Lord may order them to continue, and this

person is 91 yrs old and smilingly lives on as if nothing has happened.

Whenever he talks to me (rarely) he just asks if I am enjoying my

existence,or is the burden of material life biting me too much, and if

I am able to harness my senses and withdraw my mind within, focus on

Krishna inside the heart or not. Here is where I get lost for

words.Suddenly in his presence my weaknesses are exposed and he smiles

and says time will heal everything, just chant.he says he will be

watching me, so I must keep my Japa going. Such a peaceful presence is

hard to find today.

My Guru says " I am out of this Chela-Chapati" Business. He means he is

not inclined to have more number of disciples. he is a Jeevan Mukta.

Dear Sirs,

Radhe Krtishna!

Kindly tell me whether my mail has offended anybody, or whether I have,

unknowingly indulged in any mudslinging ? In the name of the Lord, I

shall be happy to receive a reply.

I don't know about all this. I am

wondering what schools of thought this is coming from.

This is a crucial issue and requires very

Hari Om.

Please understand the realities of life.

In any curriculum of learning the syllabus is ready.

The school is ready.

The aim of education is ready .

The objectives are also ready.

But the student is interviewed to enter any school.

He is examined carefully for his previous knowledge by the school

The role of the student is to only answer the qquestions.

The school selects the candidates according to their standard.

The same way in our life Guru, the curriculum for life etc are ready.

God carefully examines the knowledge and integrity of a person.

According to the level of the student the we get the Guru sent

by our Almighty.

He scans our brain every min.

He scans the brain of false GUrus also and are punished severly

By Him.

There is no role to play by the student but to walk in the path

OF Sathyam,Dharmam and Shanthi every second in our life.

If we have this desire alone we can meet the true Guru.

He is none otherthan Krushna.

Thats why its said KRUSHNAM VANDHE JAGATHGURUM.

Please do not neglect my words at any cost.

Its you who will loose the chance of getting addmission to

Krushna's School.

Kindly analyse the truth in my words and not back fire.

Hari OM.
