Hare Krsna I am also the gambling of cheats, and of the splendid I am the splendor. I am victory, I am adventure, and I am the strength of the strong. GITA 10:36 There are many kinds of cheaters all over the universe. Of all cheating processes, gambling stands supreme and therefore represents Krsna. As the Supreme, Krsna can be more deceitful than any mere man. If Krsna chooses to deceive a person, no one can surpass Him in His deceit. His greatness is not simply one-sided--it is all-sided. Among the victorious, He is victory. He is the splendor of the splendid. Among enterprising industrialists, He is the most enterprising. Among adventurers, He is the most adventurous, and among the strong, He is the

strongest. When Krsna was present on earth, no one could surpass Him in strength. Even in His childhood He lifted Govardhana Hill. No one can surpass Him in cheating, no one can surpass Him in splendor, no one can surpass Him in victory, no one can surpass Him in enterprise, and no one can surpass Him in strength. SRILA PRABHUPADA Somtimes we accept the literal meaning of Bhagavad Gita rather than the philosophical intent. Of course, Bhagavan can be anything, whatever He wishes, because He is everything. Srila Prabhupada's explanations educate and inform us tremendously. Please see the forwarded message for more. Capil Sookdeo ------------------------- Divine One:It occus in Chapter 10 verse 36."dyutam chhalayatAm asmi..."The Lord is Highest and greatest of everything and being. He is the Source of all. Now the question is why Lord says that.Yudhisthira, even though he had many good qualities, he had weakness for "dyuta kriDA" or dice game. He was so absorbed and attached to that game and its effect that he suffered immensely for that. Hence the lesson is that one should be careful of one's weakness and there is every possibility that weakness may land in trouble. Hence the surrender is the key.The role of negativeness in this world is to get the drama going. There should be both positive and negative. One should focus on the good to go beyond good. Please

refer to "nirdwandwa nitya satwastha niryoga khesma AtmabAn" (Chapter 2, verse 45, in Gita). The Lord taught a big lesson to kauravas by defeating them in their game of deceit. Why did He do that? He had the capability and that was the only way Kauravas understood?Should we emulate it? May be not because one may not have the capability of Lord to deal with that. The best way to deal with the negative is do use positive. One should do what Lord says to do not what He does. I will give an example. He has the capability to lift Govardhana Hills by his pinkie, so He can deal with Indra. So one has to be within one's limit. The best way is to surrender (kAya, mana, vAkya) in body, mind, words and in every way to the Lord. Then what is surrender? Surrender is simply do your best for the good and leave the rest to the Lord. One has right over the means but not on the fruit thereof. That doesn't mean that

one is not aware of Goal. But obession with the goal loses focus on the means. That results in failure.Thank you!humble regards-m-------------------------Hare Krishna,You can find this in BG 10.36, "I am also the gambling of cheats, and of the splendid I am the splendor.
