Guest guest
It is not a matter of chance, as I once thought. It was the mercy of a devotee, which led me to the books of Srila Prabhupada. This devotee had placed the full Srimad Bhagvatam in my college library. I inadvertantly stumbled upon this treasurehouse and began reading Srimad Bhagvatam daily. It absorbed me to an extent I cannot imagine. Srila prabhupada has ever since then been my literary guide, my secret teacher and my friend in dreams. I have seen Srila Prabhupada in my dreams at least on two different occasions and that too consciously. I was dreaming but I was aware that I was dreaming. Srila Prabhupada is " alive " in a spiritual sense, as ever before, though I never saw him in real life yet I recognised him in a dream. It was no ordinary dream, it was a vision of the great soul. He has a copper-golden effulgence. he can speak in dreams, expresses himself clearly and gives messages specifically to the person who is having his vision. His face is exactly as it has always been in the photos we see. After having had this vision twice, I was blessed to visit Srila prabhupada's samadhi in Vrindavan every year once. I still visit once a year. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I had the good fortune of some contacts with Srila Prabhupada and to have been initiated by him personally in Los Angeles back in 1964. I heard his lectures in person on Srimad Bhagavatan in Los Angeles, Dallas, and in New Vrndaban. When he installed Radha-Kalichandra dieties in Dallas I was there to see his ecstasy and hear his lotus words. So many were blessed by his presence here on earth. > > Jai Prabhupada! > Brahmananda Puri das > Hello Brahmananda Puri Prabhu, I think you are not making something straight here. You said you were initiated by Srila Prabhupada in Los Angeles in 1964. Srila Prabhupada was not even in America in 1964. He went to America in 1965, then started ISKCON in 1966. He first visited Los Angeles in 1968 to initiate disciples there. So get your records straight. thanks, Isvara dasa.
