Guest guest
Hare Krsna. A spiritual aspirant must make every attempt to stay apart from lust, anger, elation, dejection etc. At the very minimum, he must never come under their sway. Among the seekers, those that have accepted the ascetic life, they must remain ever on the alert and fearful of attachment - aversion, lust for women and gold (money). They must understand that the moment that a sannyasin (ascetic) becomes enamored and tempted by women and gold, then at that very moment he has fallen. One should never understand that attachment - aversion, lust - anger etc are the essential principles and characteristics (dharma) of our inner Self. Attachment & aversion etc are not essential principles (Dharma), rather it is modification and deterioration (Vikaar). One who understands attachment & aversion, lust & anger to be the characteristics of the inner Self, he may believe these to be inevitable. Such beings, inspite of considering themselves to be a jnanis (knowledgeable) , their understanding is nothing but a delusion. The one who understands it in this manner, and does not make any effort to save himself from attachment - aversion, lust - anger, etc, he is not only far from being a jnani (wise, knowledgable person), but he is not even a good sadhak (spiritual aspirant). One must firmly resolve and understand, that one who is truely a jnani (one who has realized the Yoga of Knowledge, a wise one), in him lust - anger etc do not remain. One who is very eloquent, taking message from the scriptures, beautifully narrating anddescribing that Supreme Consciousness; one who is able to elaborate and write various insightful revelations, such persons should not always be understood as wise and filled with spiritual knowledge (jnani). Articulate talks are possible by reading the scriptures. Even in a play one could play the part of Sukhdeva. However a wise one (jnani) is one who has entirely crossed the ocean of knowledge. Attachment - aversion, lust - anger is all happening in ignorance (lack of knowledge) Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell? Check out new cars at Autos.
