Lord Krishna clearly states in the Gita that he strengthens our faith in the demigods whom people may desire to worship, or if people desire only Krishna, then he strengthens their faith in Krishna. It is upto individuals to make their choice. In this group we have a cross-selection of devotees and we do not wish to obstruct anyone. If we can serve them by allowing their messages, the service is done on behalf of Krishna. We are not authorised by krishna to obstruct anyone's desire to worship demigods.Lord Krishna states explicitly in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 7, Text 21:-

yo yo yam yam tanum bhaktah sraddhayarcitum icchati tasya tasyacalam sraddham tam eva vidadhamy aham

TRANSLATION

I am in everyone's heart as the Supersoul. As soon as one desires to worship the demigods, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to some particular deity.

So how can we, who worship Krishna, obstruct anyone from worshipping demigods? It is upto the individual to make the choice. We are not keeping our doors closed for those who do not yet realise that Krishna is Supreme, we are simply allowing everyone to see for themselves that worship of Krishna is the final state of affairs as far as Bhakti is concerned, and eventually everyone has to bow down and surrender to that ONE SUPREME LORD , The SUPREME PERSONALITY of GODHEAD, SRI KRISHNA.Thus if someone wants to worship Lord Siva, Krishna will strengthen their faith in Lord Siva.We have no right to interfere in anyone's choice of worship. This must be clear to everyone. Therefor if anyone is trying to worship a demigod, we can at best help him or her by strengthening his or her faith in that particular demigod, and thus become instruments in the hands of Krishna, for a purpose which Krishna clearly states himself in Chapter 7, text 21. In fact we are doing a service on behalf of Krishna if we help to strengthen someone's faith in their chosen deity or demigod.

However, We can surely do better if we manage to convince them to worship Lord Krishna! This is a test for strong devotees of Krishna! Make as many followers of Krishna as you can! Yet do not interfere with the worship of others! This is a difficult task indeed!

Prabhuji This is a great explanation. It has cleared my doubts regarding demigod worship. :) Haribol..sanjeev <punjsanjeev wrote: Lord Krishna clearly states in the Gita that he strengthens our faith in the demigods whom people may desire to worship, or if people desire only Krishna, then he strengthens their faith in Krishna.
