Krishna, Guruvayoorappa ! Dear Devotees, In a vedic Temple, the eternal and boundless God dwells in

the Deity in one of it's chosen manifestations (Siva, Vishnu, Durga etc.) . While consecrating the vedic temple of a specific manifestation, the “Aacharyan “ (Tanthri) performs the incredible task of transferring ("Aavaahanam") the aura ("Chaithanyam") of God to energize the Moorthy ( idol) . All Poojas are carried out based on ‘Tantra Vidhi ‘. The ‘Tantra Vidhi ‘ clearly describes the moola

(Basic) mantra of the presiding Deity according to His specific form (in that temple) , the weapons He holds on His arms etc. Pooja is a process of worship involving very complex techniques. There are ‘Granthams ‘ (sacred texts) on ‘Thanthra Saasthras’ which describe and discuss in detail all the philosophical and technical aspects. It is meant to propitiate the Deity and release and establish communion with the chosen form of God . ‘Tantra Vidhi ‘ forbids use of utensils made of iron/steel in temples. Only utensils

made of earthern pot, Bronze, Silver and Gold are used. Brahmanas perform poojas in a very Satwik way consisting of Jala, Gandhah , Pushpa, Deepa ,Dhoopa tradition. Use of meat and alcohol is strictly forbidden. Offerings to God are mostly payasams, rice, puffed rice, coconut and Kadali Banana fruit. Flowers used for Pooja are different for different Gods and Goddesses. The clothing used for many Gods' and Goddesses' are Satwik Durga - Green, White. Flower- Tulasi, Sandalpaste. Kali- Red. Flower- Red Flowers. Vishnu/Krishna -Yellow. Sastha (Ayyappa) -Black, Blue. Shiva – None . The Brahmana poojaris consider bathing in river

(Floating water) as the best, bathing in pond/Tank as medium and taking bath in shower or taking bath drawing water from well as worst kind of Bathing. Even today the Brahmanas perform Vedic rituals as well as Temple rituals by taking bath in either river or a pond/Tank . The Thanthri decides and declares the normal worship rituals proposed to be performed in a temple at the time of the consecration ceremony of the Deity in that temple. It is said that, the following factors are vital to maintain the

‘Aura’ ( Deva Chaithanyam) of the Deity : Spiritual concentration and power ("Thapassakthi") of the ‘Aachaaryan’ (Thanthri)) and his adherence to the daily Vedic rituals . Strict performance of all the poojas and other temple stipulations prescribed by the Thanthri . Proper worship by the Devotees . ‘Annadana’ ( giving prasadam) . Utsavams ( festivals) . Why non-Hindus are not permitted to enter temples . A Hindu is supposed to be one who implements the vedic requirements in his life notwithstanding his own convenience . The caula of Brahmin children is performed at the age of three, the upanayana at five or seven. There are many such Hindu dharmic samskaras that are performed in childhood and nourished progressively . Hindus firmly believe in re-incarnation and Deity worship . They strictly follow regulations relevant to death or birth in the family ( such as “ Pula ‘’ , “ Valayma

’’ , etc) ; and during such times they don’t go to temple in order to avoid temple’s de-consecration . On the other hand , the non-Hindus are ignorant of such requirements . Having been born in the Mlecha environment , they are used to meat eating , meat sacrifices and outright rejection of Deity-worship . They are unaware of the fundamental temple rituals and the logic behind it . Out of curiosity or due to any other casual reason , certain non-Hindus are interested in visiting

Guruvayoor temple . However, as revealed in ‘Tantra sastra’ , Bhagavan in His Deity form is not interested in the temple entry of such casual “Visitors ‘’ . Recently , when the atheist-fanatic minister G.Sudhakaran demanded Yesudas’s entry in Guruvayoor temple , Shree .P.T. Mohanakrishnan ( former Chairman of Guruvayoor Devaswom board) revealed publicly “ When I was the Chairman, this issue of Jesudas’s temple entry had come up . Then we had advised Yesudas to give just an affidavit stating he has total faith in Deity

worship . But he refused to do so , fearing ex-communication by his Christian religion’s clergy ) . If the above is the case with Yesudas , think about the commitment of lesser non-Hindus. The concept of temple worship is totally alien to them . If a particular non-Hindu is a genuine devotee of Guruvayoorappan , he

will first qualify himself to serve the lotus feet of Bhagavan . Then it is rather easy for him to obtain the required certificate from Arya-samajam . Hundreds of such devotees are worshipping at Guruvayoor temple every day without any problem . Constitution and Religious freedom . Indian constitution stipulates total religious freedom to it’s citizens . The Vedas is the source of Hinduism and we Hindus are following Vedas dutifully . We believe in “varnashrama system” which is not castism . We encourage and support Brahmanasn to take up their traditional vocation of vedic learning , teaching and implementation . It is the so called “secular ’’ (irreligious) political icons who are responsible for the present " class 4 status '' of Brahmana Poojaris in Devaswom boards . Many of our close friends are non-Hindus . We respect each other’s personal religious freedom and don’t mix it up with our friendship . Conclusion The

Kerala temples are functioning according the regulations stipulated by Maharshi Parasurama and Sree Adi Shankarachaarya . Our wise ancestors have followed these rules dutifully to ensure the purity of temples . Evil forces of this age ( who consider China and such enemy countries as motherland) are trying to destroy this great nation Bhaarat by calling the divine vedic scriptures “Upper Caste Brahminism“, “Saffronization ’’ , etc . we become pure. When we go to pray at Guruvayoor, we should to to God's 'sannidhanam' with a pure heart and mind rather than go with a polluted thoughts, of hatred and malice and minds which create divisiveness.I think therein lies the truth of prayer.I think everybody should be allowed in the temple. Everyone have a right to pray. The caste system has been abolished in India and Equality is a Right granted to the citizens of India by the Constitution. The Indian constitution is the Supreme authority of the land.Of course inspite of it I fully respect religious beliefs of others. But, I think we should change our perspective on many ideas and practices and learn to co-exist happily. It is then we gain ultimate peace and happiness.Another question? Don't we have friends from all walks of life? Do we choose friends on basis of religion or caste (true caste system is abolished in India, but the Government refuse to let it

die) Do we disallow these friends in our houses. When they visit us, does our homes become polluted? At the same time, dont we visit the houses of friends of other religions. Do we become polluted then?I hope people start thinking in a broader aspect.Gita Subramanian-----------------------------On Sat, 04 Aug 2007 13:40:50 +0530, krishnadaya wrote:Krishna Guruvayoorappa ! Dear Devotees, The Deva'Prasna to be held at Guruvayoor on 31 Oct.2007 , is very crucial . As you all know, there is a widespread conspiracy to deconsecrate Guruvayoor temple . Unfortunately , in the current age of "Kali-yuga"( age of deterioration) , "demonic personalities " have grabbed the control of Guruvayor temple . Such Administrators " like minister G.Sudhakaran , his comrade Thottam Rajasekharan(chairman of

Guruvayoor Devaswom) and other Atheists are trying their level best to transform the sacred Guruayoor temple in to a ''secular " (irreligious) monument . They want to end to the ongoing scenario of millions of devotees ( including communists) >crowding at Guruvayoor for a darshan of God .The revered Tantri , Brahmasree Chennas Raman Namboodirippad is trying his level best to protect the purity of Guruvayoor temple . A father - son relationship exists between Tantri and the Deity ; and here , the Tantri is trying his best . Unfortunately , he is not supported by even the devotees. Even, the Hindu leaders, by arguing for the entry of non-Hindus are indirectly helping the anti-Guruvayoor Mafia. Traditionally , "Ashtamangala Deva Prasna" is held once in (12) years ; and it is supposed to be due at Guruvayoor . Tantri has given consent to it , with a clear condition that the remedial measures

recommended therein should be implemented on time without fail. ( Note : Devaswom board failed to accept many remedial measures revealed in previous Deva Prasnas ) .The Danger The powerful anti-temple Mafia will try all means to misuse the Astrologers in order to implement the hidden agenda in stages . All efforts will be made to "cut down" the powers of Tantri .These days, majority of the Astrologers are not following the stipulated codes and conducts ; and therefore many are not good enough to receive the revelations of Deity. What we Devotees should doSree Guruvayoorappan is "Bhaktapriya''. If al least some of His devotees pray to him sincerely seeking His intervention , Bhagavan will involve in Deva Prasna and reveal His Deva Hitha (Wish of the presiding Deity) , as it is . For sure He will crush the demons once

for all , if His Devotees request it .ConclusionWith folded hands , I appeal to all Guruvayoorappa-Devotees of this group to pray daily to Bhagavan begging for His direct action, until he completion of eva'Prasna .Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya !!!!Krishnadaya-------------------------------> "devadevan1008" wrote:>> Friends,>> The Guruvayoor Devaswom authorities have decided to conduct an> Ashtamangala Deva Prasna on 31 Oct,2007 .They have already extended> invitation to eight Astrologers.>> The controversy associated with another Deva Prasna (Sabarimala ) is yet> to subside.>> Many of the members may not be knowing the procedures involved whilst> selecting Astrologers in a Deva Prasna. To put it nutshell, the
