Namaste!

Swami Satyananda Saraswati is a renowned and highly revered saint who

has dedicated his entire life to worship. His teachings combine to

make intellectual understanding a firm foundation upon which to erect

our devotional practices. Swamiji is now offering a series of free

classes on the Rudrashtadhyayi, or Rudri, via webcam on the internet.

Rudrashtadhayi consists of 9 chapters in praise of Lord Shiva and is

from the Shukla Yajur Veda. It is one of oldest expressions of

spiritual wisdom known to mankind. The text that will be used in the

class can be found at http://www.shreemaa.org/bookstore

The classes will be conducted at the Mandir at 6:30 PM Pacific

Standard Time, Monday through Friday, after the evening vespers

(Arati). You can view this class via our webcam at

http://www.shreemaa.org/broadcasts

If you would like to participate and ask questions to Swamiji during

the classes, please download messenger on your computer, add

MandirClass to your buddy list, and login to messenger

at 6.30 PM Pacific Standard Time. You will be invited into a

conference where you can ask your questions.

You can download or stream to view the video classes archived on our

website at: http://www.shreemaa.org/onlineclasses

With warm regards,

Srini

Editor's Note: As our group is concerned mainly with Lord Krishna's worship, we

still feel we can help those who are still not yet ready to worship Krishna by

strengthening their faith in their chosen deities. Thus if any of our members

have been already worshipping Lord Siva, we are allowing this article for their

benefit. This is in full consonance with the promise of Lord Krishna in the

Gita,Chapter 7, text 21:-

yo yo yam yam tanum bhaktah

sraddhayarcitum icchati

tasya tasyacalam sraddham

tam eva vidadhamy aham

TRANSLATION

I am in everyone's heart as the Supersoul. As soon as one desires to worship the

demigods, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to some

particular deity.
