Dandavat Pranams to Bhagavan Krishna and Vaishanavas ! ,

Introduction

Bhagavan Krishna inspired Poonthanam to compile "Jnanappana " ( Song of Knowledge) . The draft copy of this book was edited by, Bhagavan Himself .

The following Sloka # 28 to 33 , explain the purpose of human birth and theory of reincarnation . The importance of the sacred country `Bhaaratha ` is confirmed here :

Purpose of human life is to attain "Mukti"( liberation) by singing Krishna's names .

If one is born in the sacred country "Bhaaratha" in Kali-Yuga, he can attain "Mukti" easily , by singing Krishna's names .

People outside Bhaaratha , repent their failure in previous lives to attain the necessary `Karma' that was required for taking birth in Bhaaratha . They offer salutations to the holy nation Bhaaratha and those fortunate to be born there .

Unfortunately , even the Bhaarathiyaas ( those born in Bhaaratha) waste their precious human life , by falling victims of "False Ego" .

" JNANAPPANA "

( Sloka # 28 to 33 )

Sloka – 28

Please know that there is no useful effort ,other than singing Bhagavan's holy names ; Krishna, Krishna, Mukunda Janardhana ,Krishna, Govinda and Rama .

Comment : The only beneficial effort in this Kali-Yuga is singing the holy names of Bhagavan Sree Krishna .

Sloka – 29

Thinking about this truth ,those living in the other thirteen worlds ,those living in the six other Islands ,those living in the other eight countries ,and those living in the other three Yugas ,realize that they would not get `Mukti' easily . With folded hands they all bow down ,to the Country of Bhaaratha and the Kali-Yuga .

Note : Because of this truth ( glory of chanting Krishna's names) , all those who live in the other 14 worlds , 6 Islands , 8 Countries and the ones living in the other 3 Yugas , humbly bow down to the sacred land of Bhaaratha . ( Where "Mukti" ( Liberation) can be attained easily) . They all know that , since they are not born in Bhaaratha , it is very difficult for them to attain Mukti .

Sloka – 30

To be born at least as a grass in that Country (Bhaaratha) ,in this time period (Kali-Yuga) ,we were not lucky enough to qualify in merit oh, Bhagavan .

And so our salutations to the men, born in Bhaaratha and the Kali Yuga .

Note : They ( people outside Bhaaratha) repent that they failed to perform enough meritorious `Karma' in their previous lives . Due to this misfortune, they missed the opportunity to be born at least as a grass in Bhaaratha . If that had happened , they would have attained Mukti , easily . So, they offer salutations to the fortunate men who have succeeded in taking birth in Bhaaratha , and Kali-Yuga .

Sloka – 31

Why do we tell that ,all those who are not here (Bhaaratha) , praise us thus ?. Is not this the Kali-Yuga ? . Are we not living in the country of Bharatha ? ,Are we not born as Human beings ?All of you please think about this . Should we go without the names of Bhagavan Hari ? Should we be less afraid of going to Hell ? Should we live without a Tongue ?. Alas! Alas ! without proper analysis ,we are eating up our lives , in vain .

Note : We who are men born in the Bharatha country in the age of Kali-Yuga are wasting our lives by forgetting to chant the divine names of Bhagavan Hari .

Sloka – 32

What many efforts for ages we put to be born now ,because of the good deeds that we did ?Many lives have we spent in Shit,Many lives have we spent in Water,Many lives have we spent in Mud,Many lives have we spent as Trees,Many lives have we moved around afraid of death,Many lives have we spent as Birds,And many lives have we spent as Beasts and Cow,before we were born as Men .

Note : The theory of "Reincarnation" ( the fundamental concept in Sanatana Dharma) is explained here . We had to live as many other beings , for attaining the required meritorious `Karma' to be born as Men .

Sloka – 33

Please know that it is with lot of efforts in so many years, that we managed to fall in the womb of our Mother.

We had to spend ten months in her Stomach , ten to twelve years as playful Kids, and after this, being too proud , we spend our remaining time too , without knowing ourselves .

Note : We are wasting our life's precious time . 10 months in Mother's Stomach , 10 to 12 years for playing as Kids , and the remaining period as self-praising Adults . Without knowing ourselves ( self realization) , we die . ( Therefore we fail to attain "Mukti" ( liberation) in this hard earned human birth .)

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya!!!
