:Shree Hari:20th December, 2007, ThursdayMargshirsh Shukla Ekadashi, Vikram Samvat 2064, Guruvar Shree HariRam Ram Wishing you all a very happy Gita Jayanti.Srimad Bhagavad Gita holds an incomparable and unique position in the world literature. It recalls the divine voice of Lord Krishna through which many of His mysteries and inner secrets about individual Soul (Jiva) and the World (Jagat) are revealed. In communicating these for the benefit of mankind, God has invoked Arjuna, as an interlocutor or questioner. The small holy book, full of the God's extraordinary thoughts and views from the very

heart, was never excelled in the past, nor would ever be, in the future. No person is competent or capable enough to fully sing the glory of this great scripture. Who would dare describe the great majesty of the infinitely glorious and holy Gita. Our revered Param Sharddheya Swami Ramsukhdasji has delved deep into the bottomless depths of this profound scripture and extended invaluable gems, which in his magnanimity, he has through his commentary in Hindi, called Sadhaka Sanjivani” offered the benefit and spiritual advancement of aspirants. It is obvious that this commentary is singularly different and distinctive in many respects from the other commentaries. Swamiji Maharaj’s commentary is apparently, neither intended to promote a new or particular philosophical viewpoint, nor in the least, a means to display learning; but that it should and would act as a life-giving boon, like Sanjivini herb, for all spiritual aspirants, no matter which creed, faith, religion or

language or place, they belong to, aspirants are urged to study the commentary deeply and sincerely, and endeavor to put into practice to gain spiritual bliss. Swamiji Maharaj expounds in the introduction to Sadhaka Sanjivani that the Bhagavad Gita, is counted among the scriptural trio, the ‘Prasthana Traya’. There are three royal ways for the welfare of mankind, known by the name of Prasthana Traya: 1) The ‘Vedic Prasthana’ called the Upanishad; 2) The metaphysical or ‘Philosophical Prasthana’ called the Brahma Sutra; and 3) The Smarta Prasthana’, called the Bhagavad Gita. There are ‘Mantras’ (mystical rubics) in the Upanishads, ‘sutra' (aphorisms) in Brahma Sutras and slokas (verses) in the Bhagavad Gita. Though the Bhagavad Gita has only verses (Slokas), yet these being the very voice of God, are verily mantras. Pregnant, as the slokas are with meaning and import of great profoundity, these can be called sutras also. The

Upanishads are of use and value for the deserving only and the Brahma Sutras, are of use and importance for the men of education and learning, but the Bhagavad Gita is for one and all. The Bhagavad Gita is a book of Grace, most wonderous, divine and peace-giving feelings arise by taking its refuge. Great peace of mind is obtained by its sheer recitation. Someone said:Blessed is the person who studies the Gita daily.Twice blessed is he who lives in the spirit of the Gita.Thrice blessed is he who has realized the Knowledge of Gita.Compiled by a Sadhak-------------------------Spiritual knowledge is the only thing that can destroy man's miseries forever, so helping man spiritually is the highest form of help.
