Krishna ! Guruvayoorappa ! Dear Bhaktas,

Before returning to His permanent abode Vaikuntam , Bhagavan Krishna informed His main disciple Uddhava , about His imminent departure and the forthcoming tough "Kaliyuga" ( age of deterioration) . As requested by Uddhava, Bhagavan infused His "Chaithanyam" ( aura) in to the four armed Deity of Maha-Vishnu ( which was worshipped in Dwaraka) . This Deity incarnation of Krishna is for resolving all ills of Krishna-Bhaktas in Kaliyuga . As desired by Bhagavan, the Deity was later installed at Guruvayoor .

Sree Krishna is the "poornavatar" ( complete incarnation) of Maha-Vishnu . This particular incarnation is the one most easily accessible to the Bhakta . That is why Krishna is worshipped as Maha-Vishnu in most of the Vishnu temples . Of course, there are specific Maha-Vishnu temples like that of Sree Padmanabha temple in Trivandrum . Bhagavan's Divine will exists behind the creation of each Vaishnava temple . Man is just an instrument to implement and not the creator .

May Bhagan Krishna bless you all !!!
