Guest guest
When I was younger, I used to meditate on the Guru Mantra (and I still do} and I had a series of experiences, which gave me a deep insight into lord Siva. Being omnicient He is present everywhere. In my vision I was walking on a bridge, when I spotted a Sivalingam, and I fell (shashtang pranaam) at the feet of the Sivalingam. As i feel I saw light effulgence being thrown out of the Sivalingam, and it engulfed me totally. As I repeated my meditations, next time I had a different experience, I saw a beam of light rising through my spine all the way upto my nose there was light below, and it filled my body with freshness and health. This is all i could ask for, and I got it from Lord Siva. After that day all confusions regarding forms, and formlessness, regarding impersonalism and personalism, all vanished. After that I prayed that I be given a chance to worship Lord Krishna and see Lord krishna. Ever since that I have been chanting Harinaam.I await the mercy of Lord Krishna with folded hands. Siva is the master of impersonal realms, and also posesses an eternal brilliant divine spiritual form that is dear to His devotees. When lord Rama worshipped Siva, he established a Sivalingam and worshipped it with the appropriate rules of worship. Mahashivratri is extremely auspicious for all devotees of the Lord.May this day bring peace happiness and enlightenment, propserity and joy to you all. Guest guest
Hare Krishna! Dear Sanjeevji, Many thanks for sharing your mystic experience with us . It is indeed our fortune that Lord Shiva has blessed you with the spiritual enlightenment which is enabling us to benefit from your Satsang. When a person gets clarity about Personalism and Impersonalism , he has attained spiritual foundation . Lord Shiva is indeed a very merciful Devata . He is extremely compassionate to genuine Bhaktas irrespective of their Ishta-Deva . The Scriptures mention many instances wherein Lord Shiva of His own appeared in front of Vaishnavas to bless them though they were penancing Maha-Vishnu . It is a fact that , Lord Shiva is the greatest Vaishnava . His blessings enable a Bhakta to attain Bhagavan Maha-Vishnu , very quickly . On this auspicious occasion of Maha-Shivarathri , may Lord Shiva's blessings be showered on all Vaishnavas of this Satsang group !!! Guest guest
Om Namoh Narayanaya Dear Baba Ji, Sanjeev Bhaiya, Thank you for your messages with regards to Lord Shiva. It is truly wonderful when Bhaktas of Hari pay homage to Hara. Today March 6th is the date when my own Pita Ji was taken back to Bhagwaan several years ago. That time, Maha Shiva Ratri was on the 4th of March and one of the last things I did with my Dad was to observe the whole night vigil. We started from the the eve of Shiva Ratri and finished our Vrata on the day after Shiva Ratri without even drinking a drop of water. That morning, my Dad prepared breakfast too for us to end the Vrata. Every year, when Shiva Ratri comes, I always remember that last time I observed this with my Dad. He was only 52 years old and that day, he was driving home with my Mom when he closed his eyes and went to be with Bhagwaan. He suffered no pain, no illness, nothing. His is also an example how Bhaktas go back to Bhagwaan when He is ready for them.--with no pain and suffering. Dad taught us how to be devoted to Bhagwaan and even upto the time of his leaving that was what he did. May Mahadev be gracious unto those who love Lord Hari. May He forgive those who in ignorance disrespect Him while believing that they are winning the grace of Hari by disrespecting Hara. Har Har Mahadev.
