Guest guest
Hare KrsnaI envy no one, nor am I partial to anyone. I am equal to all. But whoever renders service unto Me in devotion is a friend, is in Me, and I am also a friend to him. Even if one commits the most abominable actions, if he is engaged in devotional service, he is to be considered saintly because he is properly situated. He quickly becomes righteous and attains lasting peace. O son of Kunti, declare it boldly that My devotee never perishes.GITA 9:29/31 After taking refuge in God with a true heart, if there is even the least bit of anything remaining, that is, if there is anything lacking in the devotee (i.e. if any inner feelings are missing, if proper behavior is lacking, if at a particular time certain evil thoughts crop up in the mind, or if he is trapped in a situation and due to the circumstances in despondency some inappropriate action takes place etc.), then there will be a deep burning feeling within his heart. Therefore, it is not essential to do any penance for it. God by His immense grace will get rid of all his sins, once and for all. God looks towards only the devotees' feeling of oneness with God. He does not look towards the devotee's qualities or lack of qualities. In other words, God cannot see the flaws of His devotees at all. He is only able to see the sense of one-ness that He has with the devotee. From swarup (Self), the devotee belongs to God from time immemorable. Flaws being temporary, they come and go, whereas the devotee (self) remains as is, at all times and forever. Therefore God's sight remains firm on only that which is innate and naturally present. Just like a child who has been playing in the dirt, when he comes up to his mother, the mother's eye remains only on the child, not on the dirty clothes and hands. Even the child is unaware of him being covered with dirt. Whether mother cleans him up or not, but in the eyes of the child, he does not know that he is dirty or not. In his eyes, there is only His mother. In Draupadi's eyes there was so much anger and hatred. She had vowed that she would only tie her hair, after she had killed Dushaashan and drenched her hair in his blood. But when Draupadi calls out to God, He comes to her immediately; because there was a deep sense of oneness between God and Draupadi.
