Question: When do You incarnate ?

Answer: I incarnate whenever there is decline of righteousness and rise of unrighteousness. (Gita 4:7)

Question: Why do You incarnate ?

Answer: For the protection of the virtuous (ascetics, devotees etc),

for the destruction of evil-doers and for establishing righteousness, I

incarnate age after age. (Gita 4:8)

Question: In this manner taking births (incarnations) again and again, is there no bondage for You ?

Answer: No, Arjuna, My births and activities are divine. I manifest

Myself only for the welfare of the world without having any selfish

motive. Those who know this fact in reality (understand the true

essence) are not reborn after death but attain only Me. (Gita 4:9)

Question: Is there any proof that such people attain only You ?

Answer: Yes, Completely rid of passion, fear and anger, wholly absorbed

only in Me, depending on Me alone, purified by knowledge of divinity of

my activities, many have become one with Me. (Gita 4:10)

Question: In what matter, with what inner expression and feeling do they take refuge and depend on You ?

Answer: O Partha (son of Prthaa, Kunti), He who facing away from the

world, in whatever way (inner feeling) he approaches Me, takes refuge

in Me, even so do I seek him in the same manner. All beings are deeply

impacted by My inner sentiments, by which they too renounce selfishness

and pride, and become alert, quick and prompt in the welfare of the

world. (Gita 4:11)
