Guest guest
Dear all, Radhe Krishna I suggest mass prayers for common welfare can be performed even without all assembling at one place, but can be done simultaneously by all in their homes worldwide, fixing up a time convenient to the majority, and specify what prayers are to be chanted. We had organised similar prayer in our group and it was a tremendous success. We can also specify different timings to suit those working on shifts, etc., so that it will be simultaneously performed. Suggest we can start with Vishnu Sahasranamam starting 6.30 P.M or/and 6.30 A.M I.S.T. everyday I request thought may be given to this. Regards K.V. Gopalakrishna. Guest guest
Dear Gopalakrishnaji, I am a religious person, but am still a non vegetarian trying to give up non vegetarian food after reading mails in our group.Lord Gurvayoorappan help me and Bless me. I wanted to make a humble enquiry....you have mentioned offering "parayanam" in the evening. Often I donot carry lunch from home but eat at my workplace, in which case I eat non veg food as well(I live in abroad) which is the food that is easily available around here. I understand that we cannot recite mantras or stotras after eating non veg.Would you kindly educate me on this.I therefore offer my prayers in the morning, but want to do the same in the evening as well. Thank you, Om Namo Narayana Jayashree. K.V Gopalakrishna <gopalakrishna.kvguruvayur Sent: Sunday, June 22, 2008 1:37:34 AMRe: [Guruvayur] Mass prayer Dear all Bhaktas,Radhe Krishna! My suggestion to perform parayanam of Vishnu Sahasranamam between 6.30 and 7 P.M and/or 6.30 to 7 A.M was based on the Evening Sandhya and Morning Sandhya respectively in India. This timing may be okay for India, but internationally, to synchronise for this timing clockwise will be difficult, as it would be odd hours everywhere else. Hence it is my humble suggestion that the parayanam may be done during Sandhya time irrespective of the timing with reference to IST. As the time of Sandhya is meant for prayer alone and not for anything else, I suggest we go by the sunset and sunrise in each country.I humbly request one and all to do only prayer during the Sandhya time, and as far as possible, refrain from other activities, in the interest of the welfare of the world.RegardsKVG.Savitri Puram wrote: Dear Gopalakrishnaji, It is a wonderful idea. If i miss my prayer for any reaon in the morning, usually I do at 4.30 Pm thinking that it is 3.00AM in Guruvayur. (in winter 3.30 pm of ours is 3.Am there). Guest guest
Thank you Sir for your kind advice. I am trying my best.Jayashree NairK.V Gopalakrishna <gopalakrishna.kvguruvayur Sent: Tuesday, July 15, 2008 3:48:54 AMRe: [Guruvayur] Mass prayer Dear Jayashriji, Radhe Krishna! Dont worry. The very desire that you want to become a vegetarian will help you to turn a vegetarian as quick as possible. Do not give up chanting of Stotras on this account. Belief and Trust in the Lord is one thing, and the circumstances in which you live is another. By circumstances, you are an NV. The Lord knows even without your telling Him, what you have in your mind, and He will help you fulfill it. We mortals cannot understand the Lord's mysterious ways. So reaffirm your faith in Him and continue chanting. But let that desire to become a veg continue within you, and honestly try for it. Regards KVG.
