Guest guest
Hare Krsna This divine illusion of Mine, consisting of the three gunas (modes of Nature) (which is also belonging to God), is very difficult to cross; however; those who exclusively worship Me alone can cross this ocean of divine illusion. (Gita 7:14) "Daivi hyesaa gunamayee mama maayaa duratyayaa Maameva ye prapadyante maayaametaam taranti te." (Gita 7:14) Those who desire pleasures and prosperity, are unable to free themselves from this divine illusion. The word used is "Duratya" which means that such a one finds himself to be sometimes happy, sometimes unhappy, sometimes wise, other times ignorant, sometimes strong, sometimes weak, etc. feeling thus they remain engrossed in these sentiments. In this manner, due to their attachment and desire for things and sentiments of the world, including the body and its pleasures and pain etc., they get entangled in them. When they accept the independent existence of the modes of Nature, then this Divine Illusion becomes very difficult to overcome. If they do not accept their separate entity, besides God, they will overcome this Divine illusion. Among men, those who exclusively take refuge in only Me, they are able to cross this divine Illusion; because they behold only Me, they do not remain entangled in the three modes of Nature (purity, passion, inertia). As was already described, these three modes of nature are neither in Me, nor am I in them. Staying unattached, I perform all actions. Thus those who know My true Essence (Reality), do not get entangled in the three modes of nature and they are able to cross the divine illusion. They do not in the least bit depend on the mind and intellect, as these also belong to Nature (matter), which is perishing every moment. Just as Nature is moving towards dissolution, so is mind and intellect also moving every moment towards dissolution, therefore depending on it, is cause for one's downfall. Let such dependency never ever remain, and let that divinity which is a part of God, remain magnetically attracted only beholding God "Paraa", i.e. Let it be completely disinclined towards "aparaa" matter (body, world) - this is what is meant by taking exclusive and complete refuge in God.
