Sharanagati , the easiest way to reach Bhagavan .

In Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya, "Sharanagati" has been eulogized as the easiest way to reach Bhagavan . Does surrender done at a particular moment, once in life, guarantee God realization ? Or is it done every moment, every time in a higher degree than earlier, until it is the highest ? In either case, how should "Sharanagati" be done and what should be one's conduct after that ?Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji says :When Sharanagati has truly happened, you can feel and experience from that very moment that everything is being done by Bhagavan and you are just an instrument in His hands. If the surrender is not complete and the thought of ego (that `I' am the doer) raises occasionally, at that moment, the ego has to be hit on its head with the understanding that it is all Bhagavan's will and you are nothing but an instrument in His hands. Once its constantly done, over time, the frequency of ego raising its head will reduce and slowly it would lead to the state of total surrender.
