PREAMBLE

 

“Yagyena Yagyamayadhanda deva:†“Sarvam Vishnumayam Jagathâ€

 

Yagam is the most revered form of worship. In the present situation of grave economic crisis it is pertinent to state that Yagam will cure and eradicate the problems of all bhagavathas.It has been proposed with Bagavath and Acharya anugraham to perform Nrusimha Sudarshana Homam on a monthly basis for Lokashemam.

 

 

TYPE OF YAGAM

 

Ugram Veeram Mahavishnum Jwalantham Sarvathomukham|

Nrusimham Beeshanam Bhadram Mruthiyum Mruthiyum Namamyaham.||

 

 

The God who gives us prosperity, destroys loans (ruNam), removes fear and gives us confidence is none other than Lord Sri Nrusimha. With his chakra as the tool to destroy our sins and protect us from external disturbances, we pray to him in the form of Nrusimha Sudharsana, as was done by Shri Ahirbudhnia (one form of Rudra).

 

 

In our homam we first recite the Nrusimha Anushtup manthra and then the Sri Sudharsana Shadakshari, then Dhanvanthri and Vainatheya Gayathri (Garuda) (also anushtup).

 

COMMENCEMENT DATE

 

The yagam will be performed on every Chithra Nakshathram (Birth Star of Sri Sudarsanalwar) starting from Thai Chithrai (falling on 18th January 2009).

 

INTRO OF ACHARYAS (WHO PERFORM THE YAGAM)

 

 

1. ENJIMEDU VARADHACHARY (BALAJI) (en.varadarajan)

 

A well known brahaspathi among the followers of Sri Madam. Well versed in Pancharathra Agamam and has had his veda adyayanam in Madurantakam Padasalai. Shri Balaji has performed uncountable number of Samprokshanam and Homams not only on behalf of Sri Madam but also other sects of Sri Vaishnava Sampradhayam. Well appreciated by Acharyas.

 

2. VELIAYANALLUR VARADHACHARY (VARADHAN) (d_varadha)

 

A blossoming Pancharathra Agama Vidhwan, he has performed number of samprokshanams and other homams individually. A disciple of Sri Purusai Nadadoor Sri Bhashya Simham U.Ve Krishnamacharyar swamy, he is presently studing sri vaishnava sampradhaya grandhams under Sri Arasani Palai Nellur U.Ve. Gopala Desikachar Swamy. He has given lot of lectures (Upanyasam) on Srimath Ramayanam, Sri Bhagavatham, Alwar Srisukthis and has undergone teaching in Grandha Chathushtayam. He has also undertaken Srimath Ramayana and Sapthaha parayanams many a time. For academic interest, he has done BSc and MBA

 

Initially it is planned to conduct the homam at the residence of Shri Velinallur Varadhachar swamy at K.K.Nagar, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. But later the homam will be performed in temples and other places of importance.

 

Initial estimated cost of the homam will be Rs.20,000/-. (For every Chithrai)

 

 

EXPECTED SOURCES OF FUNDS

 

It is planned to approach the aAsthigas living abroad with a request to remit a sum of US$20 (US Dollars Twenty) every Chithrai which will be intimated to the individual thro’ e-mail. They may be requested to remit the sum in a specific international bank account.

 

In every sankalpam their gothram, star and the name(s) will be recited. Their relatives can participate in the homam and receive the prasadams. If individual aAsthigas happened to be in India on any particular chithrai they are welcome to participate in the Homam in person.

 

There will also be Sundara Kanda Parayanam every month for their well being. It is also being planned to recite Veda (aseethi dwayam) every month in the near future.
