Hare Krishna ! Dear Bhaktas ,

Please find attached , the details about Evoor Sri Krishnaswamy Temple which was consecrated by Bhagavan Sri Krishna Himself during *Khandava-dahanam*, about 5200 years before .

This was done as requested by Agni-deva . The Moorty belonged to Kanva-Maharishi . Arjuna performed the first pooja after consecration .

*Prayoga Chakra Pratishta * : *Panchjanya Sankha* in rear left hand ; live *Sudarshana Chakra* in rear right hand ; Frontal left hand is held on the hip as *mani-bandham* ; and Butter in the frontal right hand .

Here Sri Krishna is in a fiery *bhava* ready to unleash * Sudarshana Chakra * . He is 72 year old Sri Krishna at top power . Such a *Fiery* form of Sri Krishna can not be found elsewhere . At Guruvayoor , He is the peaceful *Unnikkannan* .

*Ashtamangala Deva Prasna* has confirmed the extremely rare Sri-Chakra *Sannidhyam* (presence) on this Krishna-Deity. Therefore *Rakta-pushpanjali* is an offering .

When the Temple was accidentally destroyed by fire 125 years back, Bhagavan Krishna instructed the Travancore King in *Swapna-darshan* to reconstruct it .

Archeological evidence available at the locality and the nearby temples *Mannarassala* and *Pandavar Kavu* confirm the above .

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya !

Dear Rajeevji

Thank you for adding the photo of the temple and diety to the write up of the Evoor temple. If possible , please add some more detailed photos so that people can get a clear view of the temple and premises. I have also not seen the temple for the past 30-40 years and hence it was kind of you to send all the details of the temple.

Regards
