RE : Guruvayoorappan and His Wealth

Krishna, Guruvayoorappa ! Dear Bhaktas ,

Kuchelan says in Sri Ramapurathu Warrier's poem *Kuchelavrutham-Vanchippattu* :

" Thribhuvanamadakkivazhunnidunna Mahapra-

bhuvinekkanan Kaikkalethumkoodathe, Swabha-

vanathinkalninnu Gamikkarutharum, kaikka-

libhavumam Ilayumam Kusumavumam ,

Avalumam Malarumam Phalavumam Yadhasakthi ,

Malarkkanyamalavanokkayumakum "

( While departing one's home to see the Lord of three worlds, one should not leave empty handed . Something should be in the hand for the Lord . It could be Milk, Flower, Leaf, Aval, Malar, Fruit or any such thing. And any such thing within the means of the Bhaktha is acceptable to Bhagavan ) .

It is due to this fact that , the poor but scholarly Kuchelan while going to Dwaraka carried something with him for Bhagavan . Being the master of the Vedas, Kuchelan knew very well that , Bhagavan does not need any such thing for survival . Still he fulfilled his obligation and Bhagavan's response is history . This is the unique relation between Bhakta and His dearest Bhagavan . Bhakta is ever willing to make sacrifices for Bhagavan ; and Bhagavan appreciates this loyalty . It is well known that , Sri Krishna is *Alankara-priya* .

When Sri.P.N.C. Menon (Chairman of Sobha Developers) decided to offer a Thulabharam in Gold to Guruvayoorappan , critica questioned it . And his reply was , " I am just returning something back to Bhagavan from what He has already given me " .

Seeing this offering, many Bhaktas believed that, Bhagavan will not leave him unrewarded . The public issue of the IPO of Sobha Developers came after this Thulabharam, and it was a huge success . It's share value multiplied exponentially soon after the initial issue . Bhagavan reciprocated to Sri. P.N.C. Menon by multiplying his wealth .

Those Scholars who criticize *Kshetra-Aradhana* ( Temple-worship) and offerings to Temples should remember the Gita verse 7.19 , "Only after many births of intense Atmic-sadhana, a Person becomes *Jnani* by realizing the truth "Everything is Vasudeva* to attain Me. Such a Mahatma is extremely rare. "
