Developing Krsna Prema

Hare Krsna my dear devotees. I hope your japa has been blessed by the Lord with attentive chanting and nice realisations coming from Nama Prabhu's association.Last weekend was the auspicious day of my Guru Maharaj's Vyasa Puja - H.H. Giriraj Swami. He has been motivating me in my personal japa and his preaching are always teaching and inspiring others how to chant nicely and being attentive in chanting.

I learned with him how I can associate with good chanters and serve them in order to achieve better japa...also how to become more grateful and develop a better mood for chanting - a humble state of mind by developing love and appreciation towards the devotees through service.

Everytime I go to his site I get a lot of inspiration because he is always serving, going to temples and serving the vaisnavas with his amazing lectures and teachings. Just by looking at his service we can be inspired and overwhelmed, he teaches by example. I learned the importance of developing a deeper relationship with Krsna through service. Once we have a relationship with the Lord we won't be attracted to this material nature anymore, we will feel like serving Him more and more.

This process is very simple and starts with chanting, even if this chanting is full of material desires. As much as we insist we will lose attraction for the material nature and will be attracted to the spiritual nature and our minds will easily be controlled by the chanting of the holy names....service to the Deities, to the vaisnavas and will be engaged in service 24 hours a day. We won't need to worry about controlling the mind because it will be already controlled by the Lord and His service. The Lord is not different from His names, form, qualities and by hearing from Him, we can feel His presence and associate with Him. Association of devotees give us the understanding of this love and how we can achieve it - Krsna Prema is described by the Acharyas and their realisations through the sastra, we have many nice examples.

By the mercy of Srila Prabhupada we are here and by the mercy of our spiritual master and all the wonderful vaisnavas, we are able to keep up with our spiritual lives and offer some service to the Lord, even if this service is full of offenses and material desires -the Lord accepts because He sees his pure devotee's desire to engage us in service.

I would like to thank my spiritual master and all the amazing vaisnavas that help me in my service and help me to understand more about the potency of the Holy Names. They are all my main source of inspiration to attain Krsna Prema and have hope that by following their footsteps I can achieve pure love of Krsna.

So getting a human body is not an every day affair. This most auspicious opportunity only comes after many millions of lifetimes in the lower species.
