Questions asked to Devotees?? Must ReaD!!!!

How can we advance in our life ?

If one sincerely searches for spiritual salvation, then Krishna, being situated in everyone¢s heart, gives him the intelligence to find a suitable spiritual master. By the grace of a spiritual master, one gets the proper instruction and advances in his spiritual life. (Srimad Bhagavatham, 3.20.4)

Why should we engage our wealth in the service of Krishna?

Lakshmi, the Goddess of fortune, is the constant companion of Lord Vishnu; they remain together constantly. One cannot keep Lakshmi in one¢s home without Lord Vishnu. To think that one can do so is very dangerous. To keep Lakshmi, or the riches of the Lord, without the service of the Lord is always dangerous, for then Lakshmi becomes the illusory energy. With Lord Vishnu, however, Lakshmi is the spiritual energy. (Srimad Bhagavatham, 6.19.6)

How to be a liberated person always ?

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura comments that one should always remember that he is eternally a servant of Krishna. Whether one is engaged in material activity involving pounds, shillings and pence or is in the renounced order, he should always think that he is an eternal servant of God, for that is the real position of the living being. Taking Sanyasa and dealings in Pounds, shillings and pence are both external affairs. In any condition, one should always consider how to please and satisfy Krishna. Thus, even if one is involved in great material affairs, he will not become attached. As soon as one forgets that he is an eternal servant of Krishna, he becomes involved in material attachments. However, if one is always conscious that Krishna is always the Supreme master and that he is an eternal servant of Krishna, he is a liberated person in any condition. Entangling material activities will not affect him. (Caitanya Carithamrutha, Antya Leela, 9.141)

How to act with our seniors, juniors and peers ?

Every man should act like this : when he meets a person more qualified than himself, he should be very pleased ; when he meets someone less qualified than himself, he should be compassionate toward him ; and when he meets someone equal to himself, he should make friendship with him. In this way one is never affected by the threefold miseries of this material world. (Srimad Bhagavatham 4.8.34)

Why should we change the quality of engagement of our mind ?

The mind is not to be killed. Mind or desire cannot be stopped, but to develop a desire to function for spiritual realization, the quality of engagement by the mind has to be changed. The mind is the pivot of the active sense organs, and as such if the quality of thinking, feeling and willing is changed, naturally the quality of actions by the instrumental senses will also change. (Sreemad Bhagavatham, 2.1.17)

Are there any distinctions of higher and lower in the service of Krishna ?

In the transcendental loving service of the Lord, it does not matter whether we are working, cooking, painting, writing, chanting, or whatever ; they are all the same. There are no such distinctions of higher and lower on the transcendental platform. The important thing is that we are engaging our time and energy in the service of the Lord. After all, we are so tiny, what can we do ? Krishna sees simply that this time is being spent in His service. ( His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada . In his letter to Karanamayi, 25th February, 1968.)

What is our prime duty ?

A fully responsible man should always be conscious of the prime duty of the present human form of life. The activities to meet the immediate necessities of material life are not everything. One should always be alert in his duty for attainment of the best situation in the next life. Human life is meant for preparing ourselves for that prime duty. (Srimad Bhagavatham, 2.1.13 ) .

How to be successful in devotion ?

This crying is the last word in the progressive path of devotional service. One who can cry for the Lord in love is certainly successful in the line of devotional service. (Srimad Bhagavatham, 3.4.35 ) .

How should a Krishna-conscious person act ?

When a Krishna Conscious person is elevated to a responsible position, he never becomes puffed up. Just like a tree, when over-laden with fruits, becomes humble and lower down ; similarly, a great soul in Krishna Consciousness becomes humbler than the grass and bow down like the fruitful trees because a Krishna Conscious person acts as the agent of Krishna, therefore he discharges his duty with great responsibility. ( His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada . In his letter to Gajendra, , 27th January, 1970.)
