Guest guest
In today's world we find many so called gurus who claim that everyone is God or that they are God. But in this connection we should understand what are some of the benchmarks by which we can determine who is actually God. For example, when Krishna was personally present on this planet 5,000 years ago He lifted the huge mountain named Govardhan Hill and held it aloft effortlessly for seven days on the little finger of His left hand. Anybody who is God will have to power to also lift a mountain and hold it effortlessly for seven days. So if anybody comes to us claiming that they are God or that their guru is God, we will ask that they or their guru will have to prove it to us by holding a mountain aloft for seven days. Sankarshan Das Adhikari P.S. Today is called Govardhan Puja. This is the day over 5,000 years ago when Krishna lifted Govardhan Hill in Vrindavan, India. We encourage you to attend the joyous festivities at your nearest Hare Krishna center. -- At the present moment our minds are polluted with the dirt accumulated over millions and millions of lifetimes of sense gratification. Even though our original pure nature is eternal, full of knowledge, and full of bliss, due to our mental contamination we are presently suffering in the realm of temporality, ignorance, and misery. By the purificatory process of chanting the holy names of God we can revive our original, pure nature and thus relish the sweetest happiness at every minute. Chant:Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare HareHare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare
