O my friends, this hill supplies Krsna and Balarama, along with Their calves, cows and cowherd friends, with all kinds of necessities -- water for drinking, very soft grass, caves, fruits, flowers and vegetables. In this way the hill offers respects to the Lord. Being touched by the lotus feet of Krsna and Balarama, Govardhana Hill appears very jubilant. (SB 10.21.18) This Deity of Sri Narasimhadev is at the tail of Sri Govardhana. I don’t know the specific pastime of this beautiful Deity. His other two arms are killing Hiranyakashipu. If you request the pujari He will show you the Lord’s form killing Hiranyakashipu. Tail of Sri Govardhana Navala Kunda – Nava means young. This Kunda is named after Krishna since He is always young. Krishna melted Himself in the form of this Kunda. Apsara Kunda – This Kunda is named after Srimati Radharani. She melted Herself in this Kunda. Sri Balarama with Srimati Revati Raghava Pandit Prabhu’s cave How fortunate is Govardhana Hill, for it is enjoying the association of Lord Krsna and Balarama, who are accustomed to walk on it. Thus Govardhana is always in touch with the lotus feet of the Lord. And because Govardhana Hill is so obliged to Lord Krsna and Balarama, it is supplying different kinds of fruits, roots and herbs, as well as very pleasing crystal water from its lakes, as a presentation to the Lord. " The best presentation offered by Govardhana Hill, however, was newly grown grass for the cows and calves. Govardhana Hill knew how to please the Lord by pleasing His most beloved associates, the cows and the cowherd boys. (An excerpt from Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, by His Divine Grace A. C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada) Surabhi Kunda A beautiful painting at Sri Radha Kunda It is stated that a devotee will at once develop pure love of Krsna in the wake of the gopis if he once takes a bath in Radha-kunda. Srila Rupa Gosvami recommends that even if one cannot live permanently on the banks of Radha-kunda, he should at least take a bath in the lake as many times as possible. This is a most important item in the execution of devotional service. (NoI: verse 11) Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura Maharaja Lalita Kunda. This is near Sri Radha Kunda. This is a panorama shot of Govardhana. This is the only spot from where you can relish the beauty of Sri GovardhanaFrom Aishwarya Kumar
