Investigation Update - PLEASE READ

Dear Devotees,

We finally got to the root of the filthy mail issue after an entire

day of research, investigation and help from many people. The filthy

email we all received is confirmed as a recent computer Virus/worm

called " Mywife.D " .

The description of the virus has published on various Security/Anti-

virus web sites today. It explains that the virus sends an email with

a pornographic attachment and use a random email address from the

affected computer's email list to use in the from and to address of

the email.

 

Our expert conclusion is that someone who is probably a user of our

had his/her computer affected by this virus and the virus

got our groups and my email address from his computer's email list

and sent out an email to our group. [ and most likely many others in

his email list. ]

 

The user whose computer was used by this virus is most likely is in

UAE as the email originating IP address indicates. Any of our

devotees from UAE, please, please check your computer for this virus.

 

The person in UAE whose computer has affected must be showing

symptoms like automatic launching of Windows Media Player whenever

the virus executes. If your computer is affected then disconnect your

computer from the phone line and internet. Ask expert help from

system admins or your local computer technician or anyone else who

knows computers well.

 

A few others also reported getting the same virus email as SPAM in

their folders, so, it was not necessarily a virus affecting

just . And Anti-virus companies have confirmed that this

is a mass-mailing virus spreading around the world in the last three

days.

 

My request to all of the devotees is that please update your virus

protection software regularly, if you don't have any anti virus

software, I strongly recommend you to get one. It is highly valuable

when you compare the price against loosing all your valuable

information by a virus attack or creating havocs like mass emailing-

what we had with this filthy mail.

 

So, PLEASE update your anti virus software and keep it up-to-date.
