Guest guest
Dear Devotees, Hari Om! December 22nd Wednesday is very special as it is Vaikunda Ekadasi as well as Kuchela Day. The first Wednesday of the month of 'Dhanu' is celebrated as Kuchela Dinam. It is based on the belief that it was on this day that Kuchela, an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna offered Avil (parched rice) to him and in return attained eternal bliss and material property . Avil offering is considered auspicious on this day. Krishna BhagavAn is said to have performed GithOpadesam (Gita preaching) to ArjunA on the battle field of Kurukshethram on this day. Hence this day is also known as GeethA Jayanthi day in some parts of India. Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu.. (May all beings be happy).
