You may chant all of them or some of them depending on time & interest. There are no rules but if one is regulated in food and other forms sense gratification such as watching TV, it will be more fruitful. Generally, it is best to chant in a clean place such as the pooja room sitting on a mattress. One can chant with finger joints as in gayatri or use a tulasi or neem bead to keep count & increase. For that the most powerful thing is Vishnu Sahasranamam. The one important thing with Vishnu Sahasranamam is, His greatest devotee Bishmar has sung it in front of Him. If you chant the following slogan it is equal to Vishnu Sahasranamam. “Shree-rama rama rameti rame raame mano-rame | Saha-sranaama tattulyam raama-naama varaa-nane || Raama-naama varaa-nana om nama iti” Chant it 3 times. Basically it is a part of Vishnu sahasranamam. And also you can chat “Gayathri Mantra”. Krishna has told that, among all the Mantra’s He is Gayathri Mantra. The sloka ends with the words " Ayur Arogya Sowkyam " - " Long life, Good Health and Happiness " - which is our Guruvayoorappan's speciality and he ensures it for all. If one does not know Narayaneeyam, then I think just the chanting of the name Guruvayoorappa should suffice. Yes, the Vishnu Sahasranamam is an excellent suggestion which you must adopt. Even the sloka from Gnanapaana - Krishna Krishna Mukunda Janardana ......... suggested by another devotee is another lovely prayer. Of course you may take your time trying to learn the complete Sahasranamam but do learn to chant it by heart. It will be your refuge in good times and bad. I am sure many more in our forum can suggest such methods of prayer, wherein the troubled minds and bodies can get relief.Narrating personal experiences might help to increase the Faith level as its intensity is of equalimportance too.
