Jai Sri Radhey! Jay Sri Krishna! Jai Sri Giriraj Govardhan!

This is the first part of my visit to Vraj Bhumi - the place where

Krishna and Radha are still alive.

For those who do not know how to go to Vraj Bhumi:

I went from Chennai by TamilNadu express and got down at Agra. The

train reaches there around 4.30 AM. At 6.00AM, there is a train named

Intercity Express from Agra which goes upto New Delhi. This will

reach Mathura Junction at 7.00 AM. Mathura is around 50KM from Agra,

towards New Delhi. If you go by GT Express from Chennai, you can

conveniently get down at Mathura Junction itself.

I stayed in the Internation Guest House which is in Janmasthan

complex. The rooms are very decent here. The rent per day is Rs. 190

only. From this guest house, you can see Janmasthan temple where

Krishna appeared in this world as an innocent child. The place is

heavily guarded round 24 hours. Everywhare you will see a set of

policemen with guns only. I was wondering why. Then only I thought -

it is at this place where Krishna lives. Being the emperor of Vraj

Bhumi, should he not have soldiers to protect.

At the entrance to the Janmasthan, you will see on the top Krishna

preaching Arjuna the Holy Gita on the chariot. With a very heavy

heart I went inside the temple. The temple is a big complex. There is

a Radha Krishna temple as you enter. Anywhere in the Vraj Bhumi, you

can see our Shyamsundar only with Radha. Without her, he is not

there. As you come out, you can see a well-decorated Govardhan

Maharaj. At Vraj Bhumi, Govardhan is considered very sacred. In

Srimad Bhagavatham, Krishna says that he is the antharyami of

Govardhan. In Narayaneeyam, Bhattathri says, Krishna took the form of

Govardhan and ate all offerings. Thus Govardhan shila is worshipped

here. The shila is respectedly called - Giriraj Maharaj. He is well

decorated (you can see from photos section).

After crossing Giriraj, you can enter into the room where Krishna

born. It is a very small passage. Only one by one we can get in. It

is having huge iron doors at the entrance as a mark that it is a

jail. As you walk in, you will see a big room. Hari Bol! Krishna Bol!

Radha Bol! ShayamSundar Bol!....It is in this room, Krishna was born.

When I saw the room, I felt that the world below my feet was falling

down. It was here....our Krishna, sweet little cute Krishna made his

avathar....I am yet to believe, how I am selected by Krishna to see

this place......Friends.....this is a place to be visited, to be

remembered everyday in our life. I sat there for some time. You will

not be pushed by any one to go out. You can take your own time and go

out.

After you come out, you will see a Radha Krishna temple at a height.

Here you can see a very big Radha and Krishna in a very attractive

posture. A see-through curtain is always put before the deities. If

you look at the eyes of Radha and Krishna here, you can notice that

they are asking you " How are you my child? Did you like this place? "

I felt that way....a stunning look.....as if the cow looks at the

calf....Friends words cannot describe....you must go and experience.

I conclude my first part with this...I will resume with more places

in Mathura in the next part. Then we will goto other places in Vraj.

Ever in the services of Sri Guruvayurappan

Sridharan
