Guest guest
Hare Krishna ! Namaste, Perfectly said that is what which is really missing as there shouldbe improvment in financial and moral assistance. Not the least,I think you are new to this group.I am seeing this group for a long time, and participating.3 months before there were literally none in this group but now there are more than enough and still increasing.I still remember myself and Sunil were really worrying about in how to bring more members to the group because even though we wanted to help the temple renovation , the mass was less. Each devotee as said needs to spread the power of Lord Krishna .We need to think more in making a formalisation of practical productivity in improvement / sevice of Temples and ourselves. Haribol, Your humble servant, Sajeev Kesavan Jayamma [jayamma69] Wednesday, February 16, 2005 3:49 PM guruvayur [Guruvayur/Guruvayoor] Please do service for Bhagavan Krishna Namaste, We , the devotees of Bhagavan Krishna have an important responsibility to spread His glory to maximum number of people. Many, claim themselves as great devotees of Krishna, but are unwilling to spend any time or money for serving the Bhagavan. Each devotee, must contribute His own way to the growth of Vaishnavism by taking a pro-active approach. We must believe in ourselves that any service for Krishna will have His grace. The 'Bhaktavalsala' will reward such servants of Him, ten-fold of their efforts . A dedicated 'Panel' of Brahmin priests having expertise in Vaishnava Scriptures and Pujas to be formed . Necessary financial and moral assistance to be provided to this Panel to spread Krishna's philosophy to maximum number of people. Could someone from this Group take the initiative for this? Sri Krishna says in Bhagavad Geetha (Chapter 18, Sloka 66-68) : sarva-dharman parityajya / mam ekam saranam vraja aham tvam sarva-papebhyo / moksayisyami ma sucah idante natapaskaya / nabhaktaya kadacana na casusrusave vacyam / na ca mam yo 'bhyasuyati ya imam paramam guhyam / mad-bhaktesv abhidhasyati bhaktim mayi param krtva / mam evaisyaty asamsayah (Completely abandoning all bodily and mental dharma, such as varna and asrama, fully surrender to Me alone. I shall liberate you from all reactions to your sins. Do not grieve. You should never explain this essence of Gita-sastra to anyone whose senses are uncontrolled, who is a non-devotee, who is devoid of a serving mood, or who is envious of Me. He who instructs this most confidential knowledge of Gita-sastra to My bhaktas will attain para bhakti unto Me, and becoming free from all doubts, he will finally attain Me.) Guest guest
!! Sri Rama Jayam !! " Completely abandoning all bodily and mental dharma, such as varna and asrama, fully surrender to Me alone. I shall liberate you from all reactions to your sins. Do not grieve. " Brothers/Sisters Pranams, Can any body come up with a healthy talk on as to what exactly our Krishna (Jagat Guru)is trying to imply in this verse. This is not as clear as it looks. Becoz, I have heard a lot many varied interpretations on this particular shloka from renowned acharyas/scholars & hence I require more clarity on this. In additon to this, Lord also says - " Doing is in your hands & I am the sole fruitgiver. " Please place these views parallely & discuss. I hope all of us may gain a good view of living out of this. Let's make this talk more interesting & essence-rich. Thanks for all your effort to be laid ahead. Hare Krishna............Hare Rama. Guest guest
Namaste, There are two ways for Serving Krishna. 1.Creating Servants for Krishna The best way to help a person is to make him a surrendered servant of Bhagavan Krishna. He can do his routine activities. But whatever he does( be it sweeping the floor or performing a surgery), is for Krishna. Such a krishna-bhakti oriented life duly propelled by the Lord's nama-sankirtana will solve all his problems including ill effects of deeds in previous births. 2. Temple Worship Comsecrated temples are abodes of Bhagavan Krishna. If Krishna has provided properity to a person, he can spend an affordable amount for the Lord's temple. Firtst, he must understand the essential requirements of the Lord (if any) , pray for his permission and then proceed . SriKrishnaya Namah!!! Guest guest
Hare Krishna, This verse does not mean that, one does not have to do his duties. The requirement here is total surrender to Krishna. Like, King Marthandavarma. He had donated his entire kingdom of Travancore to SriPadmanabhan, and carried out administrative functions as His humble servant (Sri Padmanabha Dasa). Bhagavan Krishna says in Gita, Sloka 7 tasmat sarvesu kalesu / mam anusmara yudhya ca mayy arpita-mano-buddhir / mam evaisyasy asamsayah Therefore you should always remember Me, and at the same time perform your prescribed duty. With your mind and intellect devoted to Me, you will attain Me without doubt. Krishna's Dasi, Jayamma guruvayur , " PS, Vinod K \(GE Energy\) " <vinod.ps@g...> wrote: > > !!
