Guest guest
Om namo narayanaya My personal feeling regading this matter is that " He " may not be happy the way we recite Bhagavatam. Since Bhagavatam is on line for daily recitation most of us may be reading it -in the wrong way-. Even I read it everyday. But I am sure that I may be doing mistakes.Ramayanam used to be recite in our daily chorus , but first time I am reciting Bhagavatam. ofcourse I do it in a very clean way. If anyone feel a solution do convey it. It is very important to note that " HE " came in the dream of our group member. I think unknowingly I felt asleep (around 7.00 AM). At this time, I had a dream that Sri Krishna and myself were having lot of arguements with each other. HE was claiming that " .....this is happening this way....that is happening that way.....look at them..... " and so many which I could not recollect. At the end of the above, I remember HE was remarking " .....see nobody is reciting Bhagavatham properly and not practiced properly..... " . At this time, I woke up. I am terribly confused on this incident. What HE was trying to say? Even after several attempts, I could not recall other statements. Can you please think on the above and let me know? Guest guest
I have heard that after chanting any slokas...whether it is Bhagavatam/Gita/Ramayanam/Sahasranamam etc we should chant Narayana narayanan anarayan also. That is the only way out. Guest guest
Dear Sri Sridharan - Srimd Bhagavatham is called puranam amalam. It is stated that Vyasa was satisfied only after compiling Srimad Bhagavatham. It is only in Srimad Bhagavatham, the detailes of Lord Krishna's pastimes are described elaborately. Sri Jiva Gosvami of gaudiya tradition establishes that Srimad Bhagavatham is the essence of Vedic literatures and is the natural commentary on Vedanta Sutras. There are many others. Srimad Bhagavatham should be studied systematically from a pure devotee who is self - realized. This is the way Srimad Bhagavatham was taught in Naimisaranyam. Perhaps this is what is meant ? ISKCON is attempting to do it. They have a regular class every morning in 300 temples all around the world. I dont know if there is any other regular program in any other temple. ISKCON is also facing certain internal problems. There are well known commentators of Srimad Bhagavatham including 1) Sridhara Swami - whose commentary was used by Lord Caitanya 2) Vallabhacharya 3) Kadalangudi of Sankara traidition 4) Srila Prabhupada of ISKCON There are summary commentaries on Srimad Bhagavatham is there by 1) Visvanatha Cakravarthy Thakura of Gaudiya lineage 2) Madhwa 3) A Sri Vaishnva acharya, I forget whom It is important to revive the vedic tradition that establishes the truth based on careful analysis of sastras. Guest guest
There is nothing wrong if you recite Bagavatham on a daily basis provided you are clean and interpret the right meaning and follow the priciples, but once you start, you have to complete it. Of course we are human in kali yuga, we cannot implement everything as it is to our daily life because every one has to fight for their survival, but we have to put our efforts and rest is in the hands of LORD. And Bagavatham has to be kept in a very special and worship place of the house that no one should take and read in untime/without cleanliness. The time for recite should be either early in the morning or in the evening with clean in all respect (body and mind). If you are able to read Bagavatham and complete in 7 days that will be very auspicious and surely it will make some changes the on who recite. Thanks Suresh Indira Kumar <indirapta wrote: Om namo narayanaya My personal feeling regading this matter is that " He " may not be happy the way we recite Bhagavatam. Guest guest
Jai Sri Radhey! Jay Sri Krishna! Jai Sri Giriraj Govardhan! Dear Shri. Rajaram, Thanks for your detailed posting. The Vaishnava Acahrya whom you quoted is Sri Vedantha Desika. I am trying to still analyze what HE meant? Considering the various things happening around us, chaos everywhere, unprecedented climatic changes etc - I feel that HE is somewhat unhappy over the lot. Ofcourse, HE is merciful (as Sri Ramanuja says - abara karunaam), than what we think. Only HE, Srimathi Radharani or Giriraj Govardhan would know the answer. Guest guest
Dear Shri Sridharan - It is any way very auspcious for the lord to appear in your dream and especially at Guruvayoor. He will perhaps reappear to clear the confusion. Perhaps he wants you to engage in the service of Srimad Bhagavatham. Best Regards Rajaram V. sridharan_kay <no_reply > wrote: Jai Sri Radhey!
