Guest guest
Dear All - As some of you may be aware, there is an organization called samskrita bharathi. They conduct kshibirams and sanskrit exams. Their kshibirams are very interesting and free. It is a 10 day course with 2 hours each day. In that course, there will be one trainer from samskrita bharathi. He or she will start a topic in sanskrit and you will have to respond in sanskrit only. No other language can be used. Within ten days you will be able to speak a few daily use sentences in sankrit. Then they will conduct weekly kshibirams for one hour every week. In these kshibirams, you will have to practice speaking in sanskrit with other vidyarthees. You are also requested to use sanskrit when you converse with your friends. There are people from all sections of the vedic society come and benefit from this. In 6 months you will be able to converse very well in sanskrit. Like my parents are over 60 and they very fluently speak sanskrit after just one year of training!!! It is also such a nice engagement for them in keeping their mind sharp writing sanskrit exams and scoring distinction. Also, the literature avaialble in sankrit is mostly scriptural and so it is good for one's consciousness also. My suggestion is we can organize kshibirams in sanskrit at guruvayoor and other places where his devotees are present. Then follow it up with a discussion of different slokas glorifying lord krishna. Guest guest
To all member devotees, I am a new member of the Guruvayur Group entered into just two days before. A Koovappadian by birth and educated there. Now settled in Dombivli, a place near Mumbai, in Thane Dist of Maharashtra. I have been watching the recent messages posted thru the group, especially on the captioned suject i.e. Sanskrit Language by Shri Rajaram Ven..and others. Even though I have not studied Sanskrit at any level, I like that language being a deva bhasha as also the parent language of all Indian Languages and read the same whenever get a chance whatever may be the subject viz. Vyakarana, Kavyas, Alankaras, Jyotisha or Mathematics etc. Thanks for the various information about the facilities that are available to study the language esp. Samskrita Bharati and else. There are many others like Kamadhenu Pathadhi run by Bharatha Vidhyapeetam, started during 80s by late Prof. EP bharatha Pishorody and Prof. KP Nararyana Pishorody, and many other Scholars; but were not imparted free education. Some fees were there and many ways of classes viz. postal, audio and regular etc. Sriramakrishna Mission, Chinmaya Mission, etc. are also conducting free classes in many places thru out India. Since there is no gurukula system of education that prevalent during the encient Bharatam, people who are studying it could not catch up with all about the language.
