Guest guest
All devotees of Lord Krishna, Years ago I got a book on Narayaneeyam written by late swami Tapasyananda of Ramakrishna Mission .A master piece with very detailed introduction and the subject Narayaneeyam composed in 100 cantos of 10 verses each starting from the origin of th Universe and ending with the vision that Lord Krishna gave to Bhattathiripad. The verses are both in Sanskrit and English with elaborate commentaries. One who is interested in this great composition of Battathiri shuld read this book written by the swamy Tapasyananda. The style is very lucid and the explanations very convincing. It covers all the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu mainly concentrating on the avatar of Lord Krishna. As all know Narayaneeyam was composed by Bhattathiri at the temple of Guruvayur in the presence of the Lord and he proceeded further after the Lord gave assent to his verses. As Bhattathiri was suffering from physical complaints and being a master of sanskrit composed his magnum opus and ultimately cured of his disease by the Grace of Lord Krishna. I think the book may be available in Ramakrishna Ashram book stalls everywhere.I am also not sure due to efflex of time prints are available. If anybody can get it reading the same will be a wonderful experience and one who knows some sanskrit can recite one canto of 10 verses each everyday as daily prayer. That itself will be an offering to the Lord of Guruvayur.Devotees who are interested may contact some of the stalls of Ramakrishna Mission and get the same depending on luck. The 100th canto depicting the Vision that the Lord gave to Bhattathiri is simply superb.Of course on this cassettes hv come.It will be a fantastic one to read the book in toto.I am sure all the devotees of Lord Krishna will definitely appreciate the veracity of the author and get immersed in the Leelas of Krishna when read in deep concentration.
