Draupatis devotion

All know Draupati or Panjali who married all the 5 Pandavas as per their

arrangement.She was an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna.When Dhuryodhana on

instigation from Sakuni invited Yudhishtra for playing dice according to rules

he agreed for the same.In the result due to the cunningness of sakuni instead of

Duryodhana playing dice he deputed sakuni to play dice with Yudhishtra.The dice

was made from the bones of sakunis father to wreak revenge against all including

Gauravas which they dont know.That is a different story.In the end in his

addiction to play dice Dharma lost everything and pledged his brothers,himself

and even Panjali.All know this story part.Then Dhuryodhana asked to bring

Dhuchathana to bring panjali to the sabha and asked him to disrobe her.Pandavas

already became slaves to Dhuryodhana could not do anything.Draupadi pleaded with

all Drona,the Great Bhishma,Dhritharashtra and all lecturing about dharma and

all that.None could do anything as all were protected by

Dhuryodhana and could not say anything although they know a serious crime was

committed by Dhuryodhana.After losing all hope finally Draupathy prayed to Lord

Krishna to protect her.Immediately Lord Krishna came to her succour and the rest

all know.Dhuchadhana could not do anything as her robes went on coming and

coming.All prayed to Krishna.

Afterwards when Draupathy was with Krishna she asked Him why He did not come to

her help initially though He knew that what shame she had to suffer at the

hands of Duryodhana.Lord replied dear Panjali I know you are a great devotee of

Me.Dharma without consulting me (as he feared that I would object him playing

dice with Gauravas) agreed to play.Even after that he could have retrieved the

position when Duryodhana asked sakuni to play on his behalf,Dharma could have

asked Me to play with sakuni.That chance also he lost.Further after losing

everything when you were disrobed you went to each and everybody and preaching

dharma and all that and try to protect yourself and in your mind I never came.I

was there only hidden waiting for a call from you.But in your ego you tried all

other methods and finally when you felt nothing would work you suppressed your

ego and called Me and naturally I had to come to the relief of my devotee who

has surrendered to Me.If instead you called Me in the

first instance then nothing would have happened,But your ego made you to try

all avenues and when everything was shut down you turned to Me and I had no

choice but to help My devotees who surrender by removing their egoTHAT WAS THE

REASON I DIDNT COME TO YOUR HELP AS I EXPECTED ABSOLUTE SURRENDER.Draupati felt

ashamed and pleaded with the Lord to forgive her.

The essence of the above story is one WHO SURRENDERS IN TIMES OF DISTRESS BY

SUPPRESSING THEIR EGO COMPLEX TO THE LORD THERE IS NO DOUBT HE/SHE WILL BE SAVED

WHATEVER BE THE CALAMITY.BUT IT IS FOR HIM TO DECIDE WHETHER THE SURRENDER IS

ABSOLURE OR JUST LIKE THAT.Grace of the Lord is always there to all but the

devoted uses sagaciously whether he /she has to undergo difficulties or

pleasures but always with the thought that it is the Lord who is his/her

protector and whatever he./she does is nothing but out of His Will.Those people

wont face any problems.Bakthy shuld be inculcated in the inner mind and simple

lip service of calling the Lord wont help.There is no necessity to go to

Guruvayoor or any other place of worship but one must hv the thought the Lord is

always with him/her and watching all the deeds he/she does and this total

dedication will surely bring great fruits.God sees the inner mind as He is the

Indweller,the conscience and one who follows the righteous ways will always

protected wherever he/she is placed as the Lord is Antharvyami.
