[Guruvayur/Guruvayoor] an idea to have Telephonic satsang on weekends in the USA

Who is conducting these saptahams? Is such a system already in place in the

U.S.? Is it in English or Malayalam? There are not many members of this group

here in the U.S. But this is something we can pursue when we have more numbers.

Bhajans and whoever can sing songs about Guruvayurappan or any Bhakthi

geetham can sing, And after that, Bhagavatham talks, there is free

conference 1-800 numbers available, If all the members from US agrees

we can organise it, first of all moderator's view is welcome.

Dear Krishna Prasad and others,

 

My apologies for the late response.

 

Tele satsung/sapthaham - good idea indeed! Maybe that is the best way to start

the " Global Guruvayoor Family " !

 

If you or anyone else are willing to conduct the Satsung, I am sure most of us

will be interested. However as Veena pointed out, we may not have a large number

of devotees in US and I would suggest to start with one sutsung every month on

an experimental basis (to see how it proceeds).

 

Devotees in other countries can think of a similar setup if possible

and we can extend the US service to other countries within an year

if God willing. (As some of you may be aware, VoIP - telephony over

the internet - is becoming common these days and it won't be too far

when anyone can call anyone else around the world for a standard

monthly fee)

 

Another option is to use a messenger voice chat (like messenger voice

chat) or use a netmeeting software (like Windows netmeeting or WEBEX). That way

anyone with a good internet connection can participate irrespective of their

location. We will have to test the perfromance and quality of such a setup

though.

 

I will be eager to hear comments and suggestions from other members in this

regard.
