Guest guest Posted April 18, 2005 Report Share Posted April 18, 2005 Dear All - I have seen that in Guruvayoor the following mantra is chanted when the lord is taken on a pradakshinam around the temple in the evening : Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare I would like to know how old is this practice ? Who started it ? I know that Gaudiya Vaishnavas chant the mantra Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare But this is in a different order.
