Guest guest
Hi, I'm a regular reader of the discussions in this group, though I do not post very often. I'm still reading up my spiritual books! I was wondering if anyone in this group had a copy of the Vishnu Sahasranamam and/or the Lalita sahasranamam in Malayalam ? Any word document or PDF would be much appreciated. I have found the text in a few other languages but not in Mal. This is for my mother who wants to read these daily and insists that she will not get the pronounciation right if she does not get the Mal version. Thanks a bunch, it would be great if you could send the file to minnie_nair (my mother's ID) May the blessings of Lord Guruvayoorappan be with you all. Guest guest
Anjana, I have been unsuccessful in locating a soft copy of the Lalita Sahasranamam / Vishnu Sahasranamam in Malayalam in the internet when I badly wanted them a few months ago. There are Telugu, Sanskrit and English Versions available. I don't know whether somebody has got a scanned version from a book. I think somebody has to take up the noble task of typing in Malayalam font and then converting to pdf. May be I'll take up this work after some time. If you are any where in India I can get you a copy of the books (if without meaning is required it is very cheap - cost you around Rs.15, with meaning it may cost around 200-300 Rs). If you know Sanskrit, there is nothing fantastic like the books published by Rama Krishna Mission in English translation - it costs only Rs.30 , but the value is infinite). If you are somewhere abroad, try contacting www.mothersbooks.org (of the Amritanandamayi Math), they have got centres in major countries, they'll be able to get you these books probably at a much lower cost than you get from India. If your mother is really interested in knowing the meaning of Lalita Sahasranama in Malayalam, there is a fantastic book written by Dr.B.C.Balakrishnan with detailed meanings for each nama, this was published a few months ago by Authentic Books, Trivandrum, it is one of the best books I have ever come across on Lalita Sahasranama it costs Rs.300 with an Audio CD free. I also have a request, let not only your mother read the Lalita Sahasranama and Vishnu Sahasranama, but you should also take up reading these books, it will take 20 minutes for Chanting Lalita Sahasranama and 15 minutes for chanting Vishnu Sahasranama, a very small time considering the huge time we waste in a day. The benefits you obtain are immense, priceless ,the learned say. Please read the benefits you gain by reading Lalita Sahasranama and Vishnu Sahasranama given at the end of the main stotra, it will be amazing and mind boggling. I have been reciting them for the past few months and I feel a sea of change within me.There is a saying that the Nama is greater than Nami, the God's name is greater than God, and dying with God's name in lips will grant you freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth and a place at the holy feet of God. For that you have to start preparing as early as possible, try to remember God's name whenever possible. In short Life is itself preparing for Death with the name of God in the lips. This is what the holy say and great souls like Anjam Thirumeni spend their entire lives for in spreading the message. May the grace of Guruvayurappan be on all Parameswaran guruvayur , whacky_chic <no_reply> wrote: > > > Hi, > I'm a regular reader of the discussions in this group, though I do not > post very often.
