Guest guest
Hare Krishna! Dear Raman and others, I agree with you regarding more active participation from all of our members. Personaly I like more people actively participating in various discussions, as that is the main purpose for creating this . However, I do understand that everyone may not have enough time or circumstance to participate more actively. We need to be aware of issues like dialup connections, limited bandwidth, people work almost 6/7 days a week or people who are busy with children etc. We have around 160 people d to our group and we became more and more active in the past year. If you look at the number of messages in the past few months, you can see that growth. I hope this trend will continue and more and more members come forward to participate in our discussions. As I stated many times, my ultimate goal is to build a family of Guruvayoor devotees from around the globe. And that dream can come true only when more people show interest in Guruvayoor related matters and come forward to be a part of it. A few times in the past people told me that they are not posting because of their English writing skills, and my answer always is, you do not have to be excellent in Elglish to particpate in this forum as this is not a grammar class. Language is a way of communication, so, please write your opinions and experiences without any such hesitation. Another factor is discussing controversial issues, for example - Whether Yesudas should be allowed in Guruvayoor temple or not. I am sure many people will have something to say about such subjects. Generally I suggest to stay away from extremely controversial subjects, as people may start fighting over such issues and hurt each other's feelings. Everyone has to understand that we are devotees of the lord and we have people from different cultural backgrounds and places. How you percieve an issue may not be the same for another person living in another country or culture. We have to respect everyone and let us never fight in the name of Lord. However, if someone likes to bring any such topics, please feel free to do so. My humble request to all of you is, post more messages and be an active as much you can. Thank you and May God bless you al1! - " Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu " Om Namo Narayanaya: Sunil Moderator.
