I fully Shree Raman's mail on the purpose of

this forum.

 

As each of us happens to cruise thru various spiritual

& religious renditions and deduce certain values and

express them thru this forum, sometimes it may happen

one of us too had an occassion to have a glimpse of

it, and derive a meaning different from the other

person.

 

But let us all pool together the knowledge and make

use of the age old dictum-unity is strength-united we

stand, divided we fall.

 

It reminds me of a sloka by Bhathruhari:

 

'Sahitya sangita kalaviheenah sakshaath

pasuhu pucha vishana heenahah'

 

One can read this as

 

One without art , lit and music is an animal without

tail and horns.

So to be a human and not just an animal one should

have some sense of art, lit and/or music

 

The same thing can be also be read as:

A person devoid of literature, music and art is the

real animal, which is without a tail and horns.i.e man

.. so to be a real human u should not have any flair

for art.

 

As i had noted earlier most of our scriptures are

written in poetry and understanding them in the right

sense requires some amount of deeper knowledge of the

matter, of the language, i.e (sanskrit)and a poetic

sense.

 

 

I am sure this forum will definetly serve the purpose

referred by Shree Raman.
