Guest guest
Om Namo Narayanaya. I wish to commend you, Shri Raaju, for persisting with the efforts to present these slokas from the Geeta chapter 18 (also writing Malayalam in English is no easy task..!!). It is said that if one attends and hears the last day of Bhaagavada saptaaham, one gets the punyam for all the first 6 days; similarly with the Geeta also, the last chapter which is chapter 18, is a summary of the entire Geeta and contains Bhagawan's assurances to His devotees. It would be nice if you highlighted/elaborated on slokas 65, 68, 69, and 70 in this posting. It is here that Bhagawan emphasizes the importance of studying the Geeta & assures His devotees that whoever reads the Geeta will be offering a Jnana-yagna to God. I wanted to ask you if after finishing these slokas will you be taking up some other chapter or what r your plans? Do you want to contribute/share the posting of slokas from Chapter 12? Please let me know. Thanks. Keep up the good work. Om Namo Narayanaya. *************************************************************************************************************rajendran pillai <rajendranpillai wrote: Dear Member-devotees, Hari Aum: Part 13 & 14: Gita – Slokas 61 to 70 of 78-18. Guest guest
Dear Veena, I agree that is a wonderful performance by Raju in translating the Gita into both English and Malayalam. At the same time it is too much to expect from him to highlight the contents also as perhaps he must hv left the same to the members to do it after taking so much trouble in translating the Gita.So why can't you also get yrself involved in highlighting the slokas in detail which Raju has posted?Others too can join in this venture.I don't think Raju will stop his translation with this last chapter and definitely he will translate the other chapters also but for his convenience he might hv preferred the last chapter now which gives the essence of the teachings in a nice way.Sometimes going in reverse form can benefit many devotees to first grasp what actually Gita says in the end instead of having the doubts raised by arjuna and Krishnas explanation which many may not hv the patience to study or grasp. So he must hv taken a different route to impress upon the members to show more interest in the earlier chapters. This is also one way of kindling the curiosity in the minds of the devotees. When Lord assures whoever reads Gita will be offering a Gyana-Yagna to God by translating the last chapter one may take interest in the earlier chapters.Perhaps that may be working in the mind of Raju,I feel. For this only Raju can answer.Best wishes.
