Guest guest Posted May 23, 2005 Report Share Posted May 23, 2005 Dear Balagopal, I fully endorse yr views.What Sri Krishna taught to Arjuna was to fight as a warrior and even if you fail I hv already decided the fate of this war.Hence instead of being a coward rise up to the occasion.Only the Lord can say such things.As a human being arjuna had his own constraints like most of us what to do under certain circumstances whether to do a thing or not esp. when something is related to deal with the known persons.Arjuna too was in the same dilemma when he faced all his mentors,kith and kin arrayed against him and the compassion part on him made him to vacillate despite the command of the Lord.Here the Lord has clearly enunciated that nothing like such things as He is the doer of all things and to conceive that I am doing which normally cloud the minds of mankind forgetting that nobody can move even an inch without HIS WILL.Unfortunately we forget that and think whatever we hv achieved is due to our own merits and Karma and God have no place in that.Such a notion is persisting everwhere.To overcome that it requires tremendous will power and capacity to control one's mind.One must always think that he is not the doer of anything but it is the God who guides and goads him to do that.If that thought comes then this world will be a wonderful place to live in.But the ego complex that is prevalent in us make us to forget this great Truth.and hence all this pandemonium everywhere.As you hv correctly said may be that too is the Will of God in His scheme of things.
